Fresno State QB Derek Carr said he’s ‘absolutely’ the best quarterback available in this year’s draft class. He is seen as a potential first-round pick next month.

Footballguys View: We respectfully disagree, but we do appreciate the confidence that Carr has shown with this statement. Every QB should feel like he’s the best, but Carr has flaws to his game that might hold him back early as a pro. He has a strong arm and can fit passes into tight windows. Carr is athletic enough to keep plays alive with his feet if necessary. However, Carr’s game falls apart under pressure. Even when he’s not in danger, Carr will feel pressure and react negatively. We’ll see if his NFL team can help him overcome “seeing ghosts” on the football field.
