The Carolina Panthers want to see how FS Charles Godfrey (Achilles’) does in his recovery from an Achilles’ tendon injury before deciding on his future with the team.

Footballguys View: The Panthers don’t even have $500,000 in cap space at this time. They need to clear up some room just to sign the rookies they will draft. Godfrey could remain with the team but likely will not return with his $7.1 million salary cap figure for the 2014 season.
