PathtotheDraft10

With our new 24-team league, two conference format comes a new scheduling format as well. In this Path to the Draft post, we will detail how we come about making out our yearly scheduling. Also, with us adding three more games to the regular season for a full 16-game season, we now have to incorporate Double Header Weekends. So Let’s Get To It…

*Scheduling*

Origins Conference

  1. North Division
  2. Central Division
  3. South Division

Legends Conference

  1. East Division
  2. Central Division
  3. West Division

Each conference is broken up into three divisions as you can see above. Each division has four teams within it. Each team will face a divisional team twice in a single season (home and away) series. They will also face every team withing their conference once. The remaining two games will be against a team from the other conference. The below is a complete game breakdown.

  • A franchise will face every divisional team twice in a single season (total of 6 games)
  • A franchise will face every team within their conference once in a single season (total of 8 games)
  • A franchise will face two teams from the other conference once in a single season (total of 2 games)

Now the divisional & conference games should be easy to follow, but their will be a format in place for scheduling your out of conference schedule. That format will be this; wherever you finish within your conference you will face that team who finished in that same spot in the other conference and the team that finished in inverted order of that same spot for your two out of conference games. So in the example below, a team that finishes third in the seasons end Origin’s Order of Finish would face the team who finished third in the season end Legends Order of Finish and the team that finished in the inverted order of third which in this example would be Team 10.

Order of Finish

*The Chase for the E.L.S.I.E. Playoff Race*

For the Chase for the E.L.S.I.E. Playoff Race, each division winner and one wildcard team from each conference will make The Chase! Those teams will be placed into two 1 though 4 seeding’s, meaning the Origins wildcard team (the #4 seed) would face off against the top seed in the Origins Conference and the #3 seed in the Origins Conference will face off against the #2 seed from the Origins Conference.
