The New England Patriots visited with Eastern Illinois QB Jimmy Garoppolo earlier this week.

Footballguys View: We’re cooler than most on Garoppolo. He’s got a quick release, but his offense (against poor competition) was incredibly simple. At Eastern Illinois he was asked to basically catch the snap and throw immediately to a predetermined target. If the Patriots added him it would be interesting to say the least. Wherever he goes, Garoppolo needs to sit and learn.
