All new this season to The League is the Bounties & Fines System. The Bounties & Fines System is weekly and seasonal monetary prizes (referred to as bounties) that will be paid out at the end of the fantasy season. The Bounties will reward league members for weekly, reoccurring, and seasonal accomplishments met throughout the season. Win the Snickers Award for having the highest scoring offensive player of the week and earn a $5.00 Bounty. Win the Gold Standard Award Bounty for the team scoring the most points in a single week and earn a $5.00 Bounty. For every five times you earn a $5.00 Bounty, you will be rewarded a one-time $10 Bounty for that award. So if you win the Gold Standard Award six times throughout the season, you will earn $35.00 ($5.00 x 5 = $25.00; plus $10.00 x one = $10.00).
For every positive in this world, there’s a negative right around the corner. The latter part of this system, the Fines System will subtract any bounties awarded throughout the season. Have the fewest points scored in a single week, a $5.00 Fine will be deducted from any Bounties earned. Be the losing team who left the most points on the bench, a $5.00 Fine will be deducted from any Bounties earned. All Fines will ONLY be deducted from Bounties achieved and your balance cannot go into the red! Once you’re at a $0.00 balance, no fines can be deducted from your balance and Fines also cannot be carried over. meaning if you managed to be fined $5.00 when your balance is at $0.00, that said fine is cancelled out and will not be deducted once you do achieve a $5.00 balance. The more difficult Bounties pay out more as the more occurring Fines deduct more. All Bounties will be paid at the end of the fantasy season as a secondary monetary prize to go along side the league champion grand prize. The Bounties & Fines System breakdown is as follows below…
$5.00 Bounties –
- “Snickers Award”, The Most Satisfying Player of the Week – The highest offensive scoring player of the week.
- “Ditka Award” – The highest defensive scoring player of the week.
- “Black Flag Award” – The most points above your projected total for the week.
- “Gold Standard Award” – Team with the highest score in a single week.
$10.00 Bounties –
- “Jim Kelly Award” – Regular season champion. (***Seasonal***)
- “Lombardi Award”, aka Coach of the Year – Win the Coach of the Year Award. (***Seasonal***)
- “Air Coryell Award” – Highest scoring team during the regular season. (***Seasonal***)
- “Draftologist Award” – Player with the most fantasy points drafted in the latest round. (***Seasonal***)
- “Capologist Award” – Team with the fewest roster moves made with a winning regular season record. (***Seasonal***)
- “Division Champion” – Win your division. (***Seasonal***)
- “Snickers Award” x 5 – Win the Snickers Award five times.
- “Ditka Award” x 5 – Win the Ditka Award five times.
- “Black Flag Award” x 5 – Win the Black Flag Award five times.
- “Gold Standard Award” x 5 – Win the Gold Standard Award five times.
$25.00 Bounty –
- Most League Points Accumulated – Most League Points Accumulated between all league members.
$5.00 Fines –
- “Hindsight Award”, aka Poor Coaching Decisions – The losing team with the most points left on the bench.
- “Dunce Award” – Biggest roster mistake of the week.
- “Epic Fail Award” – Team with the lowest score in a single week.
$15.00 Fines –
- “No-No Award” – If more than one player that starts earns 0 points. (***Periodic***)
- “The Doormat Award” – Regular season, last place team. (***Seasonal***)
- “Ryan Leaf Award” – Biggest draft bust (***Seasonal***) (Nominated & Voted On)
- “Hindsight Award”, aka Poor Coaching Decisions x 5 – Win the Hindsight Award five times.
- “Dunce Award” x 5 – Win the Dunce Award five times.
- “Epic Fail Award” x 5 – Win the Epic Fail Award five times.
NOTE: All Bounties achieved will be paid at the end of the fantasy season as a secondary monetary prize to go along side the league champion grand prize. The point of this system is to reward league Owner/Coaches who consistently field a competitive team week in & week out! Regardless of their fantasy team’s win/loss record.
