Peyton Manning of the Denver Broncos

What’s going on League Familia?!?! This week kicks off the five week, inter-divisional scheduling as the North Division will compete against their brotheren, the South Division. For those of you who are 2-3 or 1-4, these games will be must wins for your team to finish among the top of the division. More than likely, you will need to have the best overall record in your division for tie-breaker purposes since you are already behind the eight ball with a less than .500 divisional record. Now is the time to make your teams push for The Chase for the E.L.S.I.E.

Peyton Manning became only the 2nd player in NFL history to pass for more than 500 career TD passes (503 to be exact) and is highlighted in this week’s Post Game Buzz. hence the image above),

Note: Team profiles, aka E.L.S.I.E. University has been updated.

I Got Sacks On Sacks On Sacks Pick Up Win Against Clam Diggers, Take Over Top Spot in Origins

I Got Sacks On Sacks On Sacks (4-1, 686.78 points) swap first place with the Clam Diggers (3-2, 689.85 points), beating them 134.58 to 126.91. Kendall Wright (47 Rec Yds, 43 Rsh Yds, 2 TD) led I Got Sacks On Sacks On Sacks with 21.00 points while Andrew Luck (312 Pas Yds, 1 Pas TD/2 Int, 1 Rsh TD) scored 19.68. The Clam Diggers still cannot beat I Got Sacks On Sacks On Sacks, who extended their career unbeaten streak to three games in the series. Andre Ellington led the Clam Diggers with 30.40 points (32 Rsh Yds, 112 Rec Yds, 1 Rsh TD, 1 Rec TD) while Jay Cutler brought in 17.76 (289 Pas Yds, 2 Pas TD/2 Int, 1 Rsh TD). The gap could have been wider as I Got Sacks On Sacks On Sacks had a starter score zero points (Larry Donnell).

The Clam Diggers had one glaring player who could’ve better connected with his QB. Even though Kelvin Benjamin saw a total of 11 targets, he only reeled in three catches.

While Luck led I Got Sacks On Sacks On Sacks last week with 31.12 points, Wright paced the squad for the first time this season.

Next week, I Got Sacks On Sacks On Sacks match up against the St Pete ConVICKS (3-2, 748.42), who puts up a league-leading 149.68 points per game. The Clam Diggers get The Monstars (1-4, 646.56).

Peyton’s Girl Gets Victory Against NC Bad Boys as Calvin Johnson Comes Up Short in the Loss

Thanks in part to Calvin Johnson falling sharply below his projection, Peyton’s Girl beat the NC Bad Boys 119.86 to 98.66. Projected to tally 23.30 points, Megatron could only put up 0.70 in a 21.20-point loss for the NC Bad Boys. For the winning side, Stephen Gostkowski led the scoring with 19.00 points, while Jake Locker (79 Pas Yds, 34 Rsh Yds, 1 Pas TD, 1 Rsh TD) added 15.56. On top of the loss, the NC Bad Boys got zero points from Bruce Carter. The NC Bad Boys (2-3, 559.23 points) drop to eighth place, while Peyton’s Girl (1-4, 569.54 points) remains mired in the cellar.

The season is now five weeks old, and with Gostkowski leading all scorers on the winning side, it means a different player has led Peyton’s Girl in every match this year. With 12 targets this week for Vincent Jackson, it means that his targets have now risen in three consecutive games.

In Week 6, Peyton’s Girl faces Weapons of Mass Production (1-4, 723.91), who puts up a solid 144.78 points per game. The NC Bad Boys play Georgia Boy (3-2, 652.70).

Pick 6’n Wins Comeback Nailbiter over JUICE’S and BERRY’s

Pick 6’n took advantage of 21.40 points from Golden Tate (134 Rec Yds, 1 TD) to nip JUICE’S and BERRY’s 123.10 to 121.24. Pick 6’n came into the Monday night game facing a 9.44-point deficit, but scored 11.30 for the comeback victory. This was a back-and-forth battle that saw the lead change hands four times, with the largest lead being 23.10 points after Thursday. It was extremely close, with the 1.86-point margin being the smallest recorded in the league this season. Eli Manning (acquired via free agency in Week 5) and DeAndre Levy (acquired via free agency in Week 5) made a big impact, posting 14.70 and 14.50 points, respectively. With Corey Liuget delivering zero points for Pick 6’n, the margin could have been larger. Pick 6’n (3-2, 653.53 points) remains in seventh place and JUICE’S and BERRY’s (2-3, 590.08 points) stay in ninth place.

The season is now five weeks old, and with Tate leading all scorers on the winning side, it means a different player has led Pick 6’n in every match this year.

Next week, Pick 6’n squares off against Hakeem I Saw I Conquered (3-2, 610.58), while JUICE’S and BERRY’s get the BUCKNASTY’S BOYS (4-1, 652.20).

St Pete ConVICKS Come Back on The Monstars, Rise to 4th Place

The St Pete ConVICKS recorded the second-highest score this week and erased a 40.24-point deficit on Monday night to defeat The Monstars 168.14 to 158.74. This matchup saw three lead changes, with the largest lead being 50.44 points after Sunday evening. Even though both teams hit their projections, the St Pete ConVICKS put up 8.5% more than their projected 154.92 points to secure the win. Julius Peppers (acquired via free agency in Week 4) made a big impact, posting 18.90 points. With Chandler Jones delivering zero points for the St Pete ConVICKS, the gap could have been wider. The St Pete ConVICKS (3-2, 748.42 points) climb into fourth place and The Monstars (1-4, 646.56 points) stay in 10th place.

There was one player on The Monstars that missed out on opportunities. Despite being targeted seven times, Jordan Cameron hauled in just three catches.

While Randall Cobb led the St Pete ConVICKS in Week 4 (with 24.30 points), Russell Wilson has now been the team’s leading scorer in two of the last three weeks. With 29 touches this week for Matt Forte, it means that his opportunities have now increased in three consecutive games.

The St Pete ConVICKS face league leader I Got Sacks On Sacks On Sacks (4-1, 686.78) next week. The Monstars get the Clam Diggers (3-2, 689.85).

Georgia Boy Beats Weapons of Mass Production, Moves Up to 5th Place

In an epic battle between this week’s first and third-highest-scoring teams, Georgia Boy took down Weapons of Mass Production 173.34 to 165.16. This is the most a team has scored this season without getting a victory. Weapons of Mass Production, the defending champions fall to 1-4 (11th place), pushing their losing streak to four. The scoring output from Georgia Boy was tough to predict given that they only average 130.54 points per game. Demaryius Thomas (226 Rec Yds, 2 TD) put up the second-highest score on the season (39.60) and C.J. Mosley scored 20.30 points to lead Georgia Boy. Peyton Manning (479 Pas Yds, 4 TD/2 Int) recorded the third-highest score of the week (35.96) and Arian Foster scored 30.20 points for Weapons of Mass Production. This is the second tough loss this season for Weapons of Mass Production. Their other one was to The Monstars in Week 3, 158.72 to 142.32.

There was one rather important starter on Georgia Boy that let some chances slip through his hands. Despite being targeted seven times, Michael Floyd could only reel in one catch.

For the first time this season, Thomas was the highest scorer on Georgia Boy.

In Week 6, Georgia Boy will match up against the NC Bad Boys (2-3, 559.23). Weapons of Mass Production will take on last-place Peyton’s Girl (1-4, 569.54).

BUCKNASTY’S BOYS Pull Off Comeback over Hakeem I Saw I Conquered, Streak Climbs to Three

The BUCKNASTY’S BOYS picked up 18.82 points from Philip Rivers (288 Pas Yds, 3 TD/1 Int) and 17.70 from Marshawn Lynch (72 Rsh Yds, 45 Rec Yds, 1 Rec TD), taking down Hakeem I Saw I Conquered 108.72 to 96.76. The BUCKNASTY’S BOYS came into the Monday night game facing an 11.74-point deficit, but scored 23.70 for the comeback victory. This matchup saw three lead changes, with the largest lead being 20.66 points after Sunday afternoon. Hakeem I Saw I Conquered still cannot beat the BUCKNASTY’S BOYS, who extended their career unbeaten streak to three games in the series. Both teams left points off the scoreboard as the BUCKNASTY’S BOYS had one starter turn in zero points and Hakeem I Saw I Conquered had four. The BUCKNASTY’S BOYS (4-1, 652.20 points) climb into second place and Hakeem I Saw I Conquered (3-2, 610.58 points) drops to sixth place.

Darren Sproles really deserved to get more touches for Hakeem I Saw I Conquered, as he put up an efficient 51 total yards on just seven touches.

After scoring 31.9 points last week, Rivers has now led the BUCKNASTY’S BOYS in scoring in back-to-back weeks.

The BUCKNASTY’S BOYS take on JUICE’S and BERRY’s (2-3, 590.08) in Week 6, while Hakeem I Saw I Conquered battles Pick 6’n (3-2, 653.53).

C/O 2013

NC Titans Beat Over Dwayne Bowe, Fans Flames of Failure

Eddie Lacy scored two touchdowns (26.20 points) and Marcell Dareus recorded three sacks (19.80 points) as the NC Titans beat Over Dwayne Bowe 148.48 to 131.39. The NC Titans took a 26.20-point lead on Thursday and maintained an advantage throughout the matchup. Over Dwayne Bowe is watching the season slip away and is winless. Adding insult to injury, Over Dwayne Bowe had a starter score zero points (Geno Hayes). The NC Titans (3-2, 677.98 points) remain in fourth place and Over Dwayne Bowe (0-5, 605.31 points) stays locked in the cellar.

For the first time this season, Lacy was the leading scorer on the NC Titans.

The NC Titans will face The Pride of Detroit (2-3, 639.08) in Week 6. Over Dwayne Bowe plays DeSeantourage (5-0, 772.56), who sits a top all of the leagues.

Powered by Stars, Hero7861 Gets Victory over Eventual Champions

Carried by the trio of Peyton Manning, Arian Foster, and Stephen Gostkowski, Hero7861 beat Eventual Champions 161.06 to 116.16. That threesome combined to tally 85.16 points, topping the production from the top scorers from Eventual Champions (Jay Cutler, Jeremy Maclin, and Dwayne Allen), who totaled 45.26 points. Manning passed for four touchdowns, adding 35.96 points (479 Pas Yds, 4 TD/2 Int). Meanwhile, Foster put up 157 rushing yards (30.20 points) and Gostkowski made five field goals (19.00 points). Manning also recorded the third-highest point total in the league this week, with Foster tallying his highest point total of the season. With 161.06 points, Hero7861 had their top total of the season. With Cameron Wake delivering zero points for Hero7861, the gap could have been wider. Hero7861 (5-0, 729.02 points) remains in second place, while Eventual Champions (3-2, 675.50 points) stay in third place.

Eventual Champions had one rather noticeable starter that let some chances slip through his hands. Even though Kelvin Benjamin saw a total of 11 targets, he only reeled in three catches.

While Antonio Brown led Hero7861 with 26.78 points in Week 4, Manning paved the way for the first time this year.

In Week 6, Hero7861 gets the Surprise Scorpians (3-2, 643.16), while Eventual Champions face F-U-Pay-Me (2-3, 608.35).

Cinderella Gets Past PizzaFreak, Claims 6th Place

Cinderella took advantage of 21.60 points from Matt Forte (61 Rsh Yds, 105 Rec Yds, 1 Rec TD) to sneak past PizzaFreak 135.28 to 130.34. This win was a nice piece of revenge for Cinderella following a post-season defeat last year to PizzaFreak. PizzaFreak was led by Golden Tate with 21.40 points (134 Rec Yds, 1 TD) and DeMarco Murray, who scored 18.20 (136 Rsh Yds, 56 Rec Yds). The outcome might have been different had PizzaFreak not had a starter score zero points (Larry Donnell). Cinderella (2-3, 669.05 points) climbs into sixth place and PizzaFreak (2-3, 649.12 points) drops to 10th place.

Alfred Morris had plenty of looks for Cinderella, but he logged just 2.1 yards per touch.

After scoring 19.1 points last week, Forte has now led Cinderella in scoring for two weeks in a row. Each squad has starters trending in the right direction. The Chicago RB (on Cinderella) and Steven Jackson (PizzaFreak) have both seen their touches increase in three consecutive games.

Next week, Cinderella squares off against V-Town (2-3, 719.60), while PizzaFreak matches up against I go Deep (1-4, 563.73).

DeSeantourage Snatches Win from The Pride of Detroit, Notches 5th in a Row

DeSeantourage (5-0, 772.56 points) beat The Pride of Detroit (2-3, 639.08 points) 141.84 to 131.84. They were led by Andre Ellington with 30.40 points off of two touchdowns. DeSeantourage took command of the matchup first with a 33.30 to 7.50 lead heading into Sunday. That advantage slipped away after the early Sunday games and they trailed by 12.00. However, DeSeantourage rallied to victory on Monday night, with the aid of 12.30 points from Bobby Wagner during the Seahawks/Redskins game.

Darren Sproles probably deserved to get more touches for DeSeantourage, as he put up an efficient 51 total yards on just seven touches.

For the first time this year, Ellington was the leading scorer on DeSeantourage.

Next week, top ranked DeSeantourage will face the last-place team in C/O 2013, Over Dwayne Bowe (0-5, 605.31). The Pride of Detroit takes on the NC Titans (3-2, 677.98).

Surprise Scorpians Get Victory over F-U-Pay-Me, Rises to 5th Place

The Surprise Scorpians picked up the second-highest score by a player this season from Demaryius Thomas with 39.60 points (226 Rec Yds, 2 TD), taking down F-U-Pay-Me 125.04 to 112.44. This win was revenge for a loss to F-U-Pay-Me in their last meeting a season ago. Aaron Rodgers led F-U-Pay-Me with 19.24 points (156 Pas Yds, 3 TD) while Rob Gronkowski brought in 17.00 (100 Rec Yds, 1 TD). The gap could have been wider as the Surprise Scorpians had a starter score zero points (Dont’a Hightower). The Surprise Scorpians (3-2, 643.16 points) climb into fifth place and F-U-Pay-Me (2-3, 608.35 points) drops to ninth place.

While Matt Ryan led the Surprise Scorpians in Week 3 (with 23.64 points) and Jamaal Charles in Week 4 (28.80 points), Thomas has now been the team’s top scorer twice in the last four weeks.

The Surprise Scorpians get a challenge in Week 6 when they go up against Hero7861 (5-0, 729.02), who averages a solid 145.80 points per game. F-U-Pay-Me plays Eventual Champions (3-2, 675.50).

V-Town Handles I go Deep, Moves Up to 7th Place

V-Town put up the highest score this season to pummel I go Deep 183.76 to 111.84. V-Town took a 41.60-point lead on Thursday and never looked back. I go Deep is starting to unravel after losing their fourth in a row. The result might have been even worse as V-Town had a starter score zero points (Chandler Jones). V-Town (2-3, 719.60 points) climbs into seventh place and I go Deep (1-4, 563.73 points) stays in 11th place.

Since C.J. Mosley was the top scorer for V-Town, it means a different player has led the team in each of the last four matches. With 23.70 points, Chandler Jones paced the squad in Week 2, while Marshawn Lynch (24.80 points) was tops in Week 3 and Tony Romo (26.98 points) last week. With 12 targets this week for Vincent Jackson, it means that his targets have now risen in three consecutive games.

In Week 6, V-Town gets Cinderella (2-3, 669.05), while I go Deep battles PizzaFreak (2-3, 649.12).

2014’s Finest

Spartans Get Win Against Elmboyz, Drops Them into 4th Place

A rally on Monday Night Football (46.10 points, 45% of their total score) wasn’t enough for the Elmboyz, as the Spartans earned the 107.74 to 102.56 victory. The late-match efforts were a bit unexpected, considering their original Monday projection was only 31.40 points. The Spartans was led by Russell Wilson, who contributed all 40.24 of the team’s MNF points to the effort (201 Pas Yds, 122 Rsh Yds, 2 Pas TD, 1 Rsh TD). Both sides missed scoring opportunities as the Spartans had two starters turn in zero points and the Elmboyz had three. The 107.74 points represented the highest individual total of the season for the Spartans. The Elmboyz (3-2, 612.47 points) drop to fourth place, while the Spartans (1-4, 500.00 points) remain in 11th place.

There was a player on both teams that got plenty of opportunities but didn’t exactly capitalize. On the winning side, C.J. Spiller got 13 touches but only tallied 33 total yards, while Alfred Morris managed just 29 yards on 14 touches for the Elmboyz.

The season is now five weeks old, and with Wilson leading all scorers on the winning side, it means a different player has led the Spartans in every match this year.

In Week 6, the Spartans will match up against the last place team in the league, EL JEFE (1-4, 497.08). The Elmboyz get the Sproles Royce Phantoms (2-3, 640.41).

Mile High Pulls Off Comeback over 99 Bortles of Beer on the Wall, Drops Them into 5th Place

Facing a 7.93-point deficit on Sunday night, Mile High scored 25.00, edging 99 Bortles of Beer on the Wall 140.66 to 138.39. They also put up the highest point total of their season. It was one of the closest matchups to date, with the 2.27-point margin being the third-smallest recorded in the league this season. Julius Thomas led 99 Bortles of Beer on the Wall with 18.60 points (66 Rec Yds, 2 TD) while Matt Ryan racked up 17.64 (316 Pas Yds, 1 TD/1 Int). 99 Bortles of Beer on the Wall got zero points from Olivier Vernon, which might have made the difference in the outcome. 99 Bortles of Beer on the Wall (3-2, 744.19 points) drops to fifth place and Mile High (2-3, 578.09 points) remains in ninth place.

LeSean McCoy had numerous chances for 99 Bortles of Beer on the Wall, but only produced 3.1 yards per touch.

While Jimmy Graham led Mile High in Weeks 2 and 4, Peyton Manning has now been the team’s top scorer in three of the last five weeks.

Mile High gets The Denver Broncos (4-1, 710.62) next week, while 99 Bortles of Beer on the Wall goes up against the X CONS (1-4, 565.52).

The Hagermaniacs Eke Out Victory Against M0t0rCityBall3rs, Climbs to 3rd Place

The Hagermaniacs picked up 23.20 points from Pierre Thomas (35 Rsh Yds, 77 Rec Yds, 1 Rsh TD, 1 Rec TD) to sneak past the M0t0rCityBall3rs 111.54 to 111.18. The Hagermaniacs took a 0.50-point lead on Thursday and maintained an advantage throughout the matchup. It was one of the tightest outcomes to date, with the 0.36-point margin being the smallest recorded in the league this season. Both sides missed scoring opportunities as The Hagermaniacs had one starter turn in zero points and the M0t0rCityBall3rs also had one. The Hagermaniacs (4-1, 597.53 points) climb into third place and the M0t0rCityBall3rs (2-3, 671.43 points) step into sixth place.

Since the New Orleans RB was the top scorer for The Hagermaniacs, it means a different player has led the team in each of the last four matches. With 21.60 points, Julian Edelman paced the squad in Week 2, while Lavonte David (13.50 points) was tops in Week 3 and Matthew Stafford (25.52 points) last week.

The Hagermaniacs will meet top-ranked Mr Rodgers Neighborhood (5-0, 723.00) next week. The M0t0rCityBall3rs get Fallin-Up (2-3, 588.92).

Powered by Their Big Three, EL JEFE Slaps Sproles Royce Phantoms

Carried by the trio of Demaryius Thomas, Eddie Lacy, and Alshon Jeffery, EL JEFE overwhelmed the Sproles Royce Phantoms 173.30 to 117.44. That threesome combined to score 81.50 points, clearly outpacing the top scorers from the Sproles Royce Phantoms (Antonio Gates, Drew Brees, and Dez Bryant), who totaled 50.24 points. Thomas racked up 226 yards, accumulating 39.60 points (226 Rec Yds, 2 TD). Lacy put up two touchdowns to contribute 26.20 points (105 Rsh Yds, 27 Rec Yds, 2 TD), while Jeffery chipped in 15.70 points (97 Rec Yds, 1 TD). Thomas also recorded the second-highest point total in the league this season, with Lacy tallying his highest point total of the season. EL JEFE had the best score of the week, as well as the third-largest margin of victory in the league this season. The outcome could have been worse as EL JEFE had a starter score zero points (Corey Liuget). The Sproles Royce Phantoms (2-3, 640.41 points) drop to seventh place, while EL JEFE (1-4, 497.08 points) remains mired in the cellar.

While Jeffery led EL JEFE in Week 3 (with 12.80 points) and Lacy in Week 4 (11.90 points), Thomas has now been the team’s top scorer twice in the last four weeks. With 12 targets this week for Vincent Jackson, it means that his targets have now increased in three straight games.

EL JEFE squares off against the Spartans (1-4, 500.00) in Week 6 while the Sproles Royce Phantoms battle the Elmboyz (3-2, 612.47).

The Denver Broncos Win Against X CONS, Grabs 2nd Place

The Denver Broncos put up the second-highest score this week to get the win over the X CONS 161.54 to 134.70. The Denver Broncos took a 7.80-point lead on Thursday and maintained an advantage throughout the matchup. The X CONS have lost their third straight matchup. The X CONS actually averages more per game in losses (117.92) than wins (93.84). The result might have been even worse as The Denver Broncos won despite four starters scoring zero points. The Denver Broncos (4-1, 710.62 points) climb into second place and the X CONS (1-4, 565.52 points) stay in 10th place.

Both squads had a significant player that failed to capitalize on opportunites. Even though Kelvin Benjamin saw a total of 11 targets, he only reeled in three catches.

Since Arian Foster was the top scorer for The Denver Broncos, it means a different player has led the team in each of the last four matches. With 23.70 points, Chandler Jones paced the squad in Week 2, while Colin Kaepernick (18.20 points) was tops in Week 3 and DeMarco Murray (28.50 points) in Week 4. With 29 touches this week for Matt Forte, it means that his opportunities have now increased in three consecutive games.

The Denver Broncos meet Mile High (2-3, 578.09) in Week 6. The X CONS take on 99 Bortles of Beer on the Wall (3-2, 744.19), who is averaging a league-leading 148.84 points per game.

Mr Rodgers Neighborhood Comes from Behind to Edge Fallin-Up for 5th Consecutive Win

Mr Rodgers Neighborhood picked up 19.24 points from Aaron Rodgers (156 Pas Yds, 3 TD), sneaking by Fallin-Up 137.24 to 133.92. Mr Rodgers Neighborhood came into the Monday night game facing a 0.68-point deficit, but scored 4.00 for the comeback victory. This matchup saw three lead changes, with the largest lead being 51.34 points after Sunday afternoon. Still undefeated, Mr Rodgers Neighborhood is piecing together a great season. Things could have been different had Fallin-Up not had a starter score zero points (Nate Irving). Mr Rodgers Neighborhood (5-0, 723.00 points) remains in first place and Fallin-Up (2-3, 588.92 points) stays in eighth place.

There was one starter on Fallin-Up that missed out on opportunities. Even though Jeremy Maclin saw a total of 11 targets, he reeled in just five catches.

While Devin Hester led Mr Rodgers Neighborhood in Week 3 (with 37.20 points) and Steve Smith in Week 4 (29.90 points), Rodgers has now been the team’s top scorer twice in the previous four weeks.

Next week, Mr Rodgers Neighborhood gets The Hagermaniacs (4-1, 597.53), while Fallin-Up matches up against the M0t0rCityBall3rs (2-3, 671.43).
