Johnny Manziel of the Cleveland Browns

My apologies to those who look forward to the weekly Post Game Buzz & The Thursday Morning Quarterback series as my schedule this week has been ridiculous. With that being said, The Thursday Morning Quarterback will be out later today (4pm) in an attempt to get everything back on schedule. Hopefully I didn’t mess up your weekly game planning too much…

Three weeks down and the 1st round of the divisional games are half way over. Every team has played three divisional teams with two divisional games remaining before games against foes in the other division. As I managed another 2-1 week with my three teams, me accidentally leaving the inactive Roddy White-WR in my lineup did however cost me a perfect 3-0 weekend. My St Pete ConVICKS‘ in Origins loss to Hakeem I Saw I Conquered by 4 points with both my WR’s on the bench putting up 9 points a piece…, Hulk SMASH!!! Hey Brian, your welcome… lol. So Let’s Get To It…, SMDH!

With Their Top Guns Doing the Heavy Lifting, Pick 6’n Gets the Upset Win Against I Got Sacks On Sacks On Sacks

Led by the three-headed monster of Julio Jones, Pierre Garcon, and Colin Kaepernick, Pick 6’n got a victory over I Got Sacks On Sacks On Sacks 156.70 to 113.70. That threesome joined forces to score 74.10 points, topping the production from Andrew Luck, J.J. Watt, and Dan Bailey (52.10 combined points), the top three on I Got Sacks On Sacks On Sacks. Jones racked up 161 yards, registering 31.10 points (161 Rec Yds, 2 TD). Garcon also delivered 24.80 points (138 Rec Yds, 1 TD), while Kaepernick pitched in 18.20 points (245 Pas Yds, 54 Rsh Yds, 1 TD). With 156.70 points, Pick 6’n had the highest total in Origins this week. Pick 6’n (2-1, 394.31 points) climbs into third place, while I Got Sacks On Sacks On Sacks (2-1, 372.08 points) drops to seventh place.

I Got Sacks On Sacks On Sacks had one noticeable player that failed to capitalize on opportunities. Even though Sammy Watkins saw a total of eight targets, he only reeled in two catches.

Pick 6’n was on a different level with their wideouts, as they started two of the league’s top-10 overall WR’s this week (including Jones, who was in the top five).

Next week, Pick 6’n plays the Clam Diggers (2-1, 400.00), while I Got Sacks On Sacks On Sacks matches up against the NC Bad Boys (2-1, 381.87).

NC Bad Boys Rally Against JUICE’S and BERRY’s to Capture 4th Place

The NC Bad Boys got 17.40 points from Martellus Bennett (54 Rec Yds, 2 TD) and 16.70 from Le’Veon Bell (147 Rsh Yds), taking down JUICE’S and BERRY’s 103.36 to 93.94. The NC Bad Boys came into the Monday night game facing an 8.18-point deficit, but scored 23.00 for the comeback victory. Both sides fell short of expectations, but the NC Bad Boys scored 83.5% of a projected 123.76 points to pick up the win. Reggie Bush led JUICE’S and BERRY’s with 15.90 points (61 Rsh Yds, 38 Rec Yds, 1 TD) while Greg Olsen brought in 12.90 (69 Rec Yds, 1 TD). With Jerrell Freeman delivering zero points for the NC Bad Boys, the outcome could have been worse. The NC Bad Boys (2-1, 381.87 points) climbs into fourth place and JUICE’S and BERRY’s (1-2, 353.32 points) drops to 11th place.

There was a player on both teams that got plenty of looks but left points out on the field. On the winning side, Shane Vereen got 11 touches but only tallied 37 total yards, while Chris Johnson managed just 34 yards on 10 touches for JUICE’S and BERRY’s. One position where JUICE’S and BERRY’s really made a regrettable choice is quarterback. Tom Brady could have started in place of Matthew Stafford, and that point difference could have changed the outcome.

In Week 4, the NC Bad Boys square off against I Got Sacks On Sacks On Sacks (2-1, 372.08), while JUICES’ and BERRY’s face Peyton’s Girl (0-3, 340.25).

Clam Diggers Rally Against Peyton’s Girl, Moves to 2nd Place

The Clam Diggers picked up 22.20 points from Knile Davis (132 Rsh Yds, 1 TD) to beat Peyton’s Girl 142.20 to 128.65. The Clam Diggers came into the Monday night game facing an 11.65-point deficit, but scored 25.20 for the comeback victory. Peyton’s Girl just cannot match up against the Clam Diggers, who extended their career unbeaten streak to two games in the series. Jelani Jenkins led Peyton’s Girl with 22.35 points (1 Sack, 11 Tack, 4 Ast) while Victor Cruz brought in 17.70 (107 Rec Yds, 1 TD). On top of the loss, Peyton’s Girl had a starter score zero points (Doug Martin). The Clam Diggers (2-1, 400.00 points) climb into second place and Peyton’s Girl (0-3, 340.25 points) drops to last place.

Peyton’s Girl had one noticeable starter that failed to capitalize on opportunities. Even though Vincent Jackson saw a total of nine targets, he only reeled in two catches.

Next week, the Clam Diggers play Pick 6’n (2-1, 394.31), while Peyton’s Girl battles JUICE’S and BERRY’s (1-2, 353.32).

Hakeem I Saw I Conquered Beats St Pete ConVICKS, Evens Series

Rashad Jennings rushed for 176 yards (24.60 points) and DeMarco Murray added 18.10 points as Hakeem I Saw I Conquered defeated the St Pete ConVICKS 118.60 to 110.02. Hakeem I Saw I Conquered has beaten expectations every week this season, putting up 14.9% more points than their 103.22 projected in this matchup. This win was revenge for a loss to the St Pete ConVICKS in their last meeting a season ago. It could have gone the other way had the St Pete ConVICKS not had two starters score zero points (Roddy White and Michael Bennett). Hakeem I Saw I Conquered (2-1, 375.84 points) falls to sixth place and the St Pete ConVICKS (1-2, 423.76 points) drops to 10th place.

Darren Sproles really deserved to get more touches for Hakeem I Saw I Conquered, as he put up an efficient 50 total yards on just five touches.

Hakeem I Saw I Conquered squares off against The Monstars (1-2, 352.62) next week in the Liotta Bowl, while the St Pete ConVICKS face Georgia Boy (2-1, 353.78).

BUCKNASTY’S BOYS Top Georgia Boy, Takes Top Spot in League

The BUCKNASTY’S BOYS (2-1, 400.50 points) jump into first place after beating Georgia Boy (fifth place, 2-1, 353.78 points) 137.54 to 107.18. Marshawn Lynch (88 Rsh Yds, 40 Rec Yds, 1 Rsh TD, 1 Rec TD) led the BUCKNASTY’S BOYS  with 24.80 points while Matt Ryan (286 Pas Yds, 3 TD) scored 23.64. The BUCKNASTY’S BOYS  took a 23.64-point lead on Thursday and remained in front for the rest of the matchup. Each team hit their projections, but the BUCKNASTY’S BOYS put up 34.0% more than their projected 102.66 points to get the win. The outcome could have been worse as the BUCKNASTY’S BOYS  won despite two starters scoring zero points.

There were a few players in this matchup that had plenty of chances but left something to be desired. On the losing side, Stevan Ridley and Montee Ball got 36 total touches but only tallied 105 yards from scrimmage between them. For the BUCKNASTY’S BOYS , Alfred Morris managed just 77 yards on 23 touches.

Next week, the BUCKNASTY’S BOYS  go up against Weapons of Mass Production (1-2, 436.66), who puts up a league-leading 145.55 points per game. Georgia Boy takes on the St Pete ConVICKS (1-2, 423.76), who is averaging an impressive 141.25 points per game.

The Monstars Win Against Weapons of Mass Production, Move Up to 8th Place

This week’s second- and third-highest-scoring teams met in an epic battle as The Monstars took down Weapons of Mass Production 155.62 to 142.32. This is the second-most a team has scored this season without getting the victory. The loss drops Weapons of Mass Production to 9th (1-2) in the standings. The total number of points from The Monstars was a bit surprising given that they were only expected to score 92.72 points. Weapons of Mass Production scored 130.0% of their projected 109.50. Devin Hester (25 Rec Yds, 1 Rsh TD) logged the highest score of the week (37.20) and Drew Brees scored 20.72 points to lead The Monstars. Antonio Brown (90 Rec Yds, 2 TD) got 22.70 points to score 155.1% more than projected (8.90) for Weapons of Mass Production. Weapons of Mass Production was without Arian Foster, who was inactive.

Joique Bell had plenty of opportunities for Weapons of Mass Production (15 to be exact), but could only manage 2.2 yards per touch.

The Monstars play Hakeem I Saw I Conquered (2-1, 375.84) next week in the Liotta Bowl while Weapons of Mass Production faces the BUCKNASTY’S BOYS (2-1, 400.50).

C/O 2013

Cinderella Wins Against Over Dwayne Bowe, Rises to 9th Place

Cinderella picked up two of the top 10 player performances from Julio Jones with 31.10 points (161 Rec Yds, 2 TD) and Nick Foles with 27.20 points (325 Pas Yds, 3 TD) to get the win over Over Dwayne Bowe 146.20 to 132.94. Over Dwayne Bowe is having trouble getting started and is winless. Devin Hester racked up the highest score of the league this week with 37.20 points (25 Rec Yds, 1 Rsh TD) for Over Dwayne Bowe. Things could have been different had Over Dwayne Bowe not had a starter score zero points (Eric Berry). Cinderella (1-2, 409.77 points) climbs into ninth place and Over Dwayne Bowe (0-3, 373.16 points) drops to the cellar.

There was a player on both teams that got plenty of opportunities but could’ve been more effective. On the winning side, Alfred Morris got 23 touches but only tallied 77 total yards, while Shane Vereen managed just 37 yards on 11 touches for Over Dwayne Bowe.

Next week, Cinderella gets the NC Titans (1-2, 369.98), while Over Dwayne Bowe goes up against Hero7861 (3-0, 415.76).

Hero7861 Finishes Strong Against PizzaFreak, Streak Climbs to Three

Hero7861 picked up 22.70 points from Antonio Brown (90 Rec Yds, 2 TD) to beat PizzaFreak 134.72 to 117.10. Hero7861 came into the Sunday night game facing a 16.48-point deficit, but scored 39.40 for the comeback victory. This stunner was revenge for a loss to PizzaFreak in their last meeting a season ago. PizzaFreak was led by Colin Kaepernick with 18.20 points (245 Pas Yds, 54 Rsh Yds, 1 TD) and DeMarco Murray, who scored 18.10 (100 Rsh Yds, 31 Rec Yds, 1 TD). The margin could have been larger as Hero7861 had a starter score zero points (Arian Foster). PizzaFreak (1-2, 374.86 points) drops to 10th place and Hero7861 (3-0, 415.76 points) remains in third place.

Hero7861 faces Over Dwayne Bowe (0-3, 373.16) next week. PizzaFreak gets Eventual Champions (3-0, 441.80), who is averaging a strong 147.27 points per game.

Eventual Champions Top NC Titans, Streak Now at Three

Eventual Champions beat the NC Titans 158.40 to 136.40 and got the second-highest score of the week. Still undefeated, the Eventual Champions have come off the starting line strong. Andrew Luck racked up the third-highest score in the league this week with 31.30 points (370 Pas Yds, 4 TD) for the NC Titans. The NC Titans (1-2, 369.98 points) drop to sixth place and the Eventual Champions (3-0, 441.80 points) remain in second place.

Next week, Eventual Champions square off against PizzaFreak (1-2, 374.86), while the NC Titans go up against Cinderella (1-2, 409.77).

DeSeantourage Beats V-Town for 3rd Straight Win

DeSeantourage picked up 20.72 points from Drew Brees (293 Pas Yds, 2 TD) and 17.40 from Cordarrelle Patterson (61 Rec Yds), taking down V-Town 121.12 to 113.78. V-Town is not on the same level as DeSeantourage, who extended their career unbeaten streak to two games in the series. Marshawn Lynch led V-Town with 24.80 points (88 Rsh Yds, 40 Rec Yds, 1 Rsh TD, 1 Rec TD) while Tony Romo racked up 19.08 (217 Pas Yds, 2 TD/1 Int). With Michael Bennett delivering zero points for DeSeantourage, the margin could have been larger. V-Town (1-2, 386.06 points) steps into fifth place and DeSeantourage (3-0, 474.12 points) remains in first place.

V-Town had one glaring player that missed out on opportunities. Even though Vincent Jackson saw a total of nine targets, he only reeled in two catches.

Next week, DeSeantourage squares off against Surprise Scorpians (2-1, 376.20), while V-Town matches up against The Pride of Detroit (1-2, 352.92).

Surprise Scorpians Beat the Pants Off I go Deep, Moves to 4th Place

The Surprise Scorpians got the highest score of the week to stomp I go Deep 161.34 to 107.96. The Surprise Scorpians took a 16.14-point lead on Thursday and remained in front for the rest of the matchup. I go Deep still cannot beat the Surprise Scorpians, who extended their career unbeaten streak to three games in the series. The Surprise Scorpians (2-1, 376.20 points) climb into fourth place and I go Deep (1-2, 340.73 points) drops to seventh place.

There was one player on the Surprise Scorpians that let some chances slip through his hands. Despite being targeted nine times, Demaryius Thomas hauled in just four catches.

In Week 4, the Surprise Scorpians face DeSeantourage (3-0, 474.12), who puts up a league-leading 158.04 points per game. I go Deep gets F-U-Pay-Me (1-2, 359.83).

F-U-Pay-Me Beats The Pride of Detroit to Move into 8th Place

F-U-Pay-Me defeated The Pride of Detroit, who labored to score points this week, 121.78 to 100.04. F-U-Pay-Me took a 6.34-point lead on Sunday afternoon and never looked back. This win was revenge for a loss to The Pride of Detroit in their last meeting a season ago. With DeAngelo Williams delivering zero points for F-U-Pay-Me, the outcome could have been worse. F-U-Pay-Me (1-2, 359.83 points) climbs into eighth place and The Pride of Detroit (1-2, 352.92 points) drops to 11th place.

Joique Bell and LeSean McCoy had plenty of opportunities for The Pride of Detroit, but they logged just 55 total yards on 34 combined touches between them.

Next week, F-U-Pay-Me squares off against I go Deep (1-2, 340.73), while The Pride of Detroit matches up with V-Town (1-2, 386.06).

2014’s Finest

Elmboyz Beat M0t0rCityBall3rs, Grab 5th Place

This week’s second- and third-highest-scoring teams met in an epic battle as the Elmboyz beat the M0t0rCityBall3rs 155.50 to 127.90. Only one team scored more points than the M0t0rCityBall3rs in a game this season and lost. The M0t0rCityBall3rs fall to 1-2 but stays in sixth place. The combined total was unexpected given that the Elmboyz was only expected to score 102.08 points and the M0t0rCityBall3rs were projected to score 97.46 points. Marshawn Lynch (88 Rsh Yds, 40 Rec Yds, 1 Rsh TD, 1 Rec TD) accumulated 24.80 points to score 117.5% more than projected (11.40) to lead the Elmboyz. Andrew Luck (370 Pas Yds, 4 TD) amassed the third-highest point total of the week (31.30) and Kam Chancellor scored 20.70 points for the M0t0rCityBall3rs. The margin could have been bigger, as the Elmboyz had a starter who didn’t score (Mychal Kendricks). This is the second tough loss this season for the M0t0rCityBall3rs. Their other one was to 99 Bortles of Beer on the Wall in Week 1, 193.02 to 155.75.

Alfred Morris got several looks for the Elmboyz, but only produced 3.3 yards per touch.

In Week 4, the Elmboyz face 99 Bortles of Beer on the Wall (3-0, 492.10), who puts up a league-leading 164.03 points per game. The M0t0rCityBall3rs play the Spartans (0-3, 297.10).

99 Bortles of Beer on the Wall Pounds The Hagermaniacs, Makes It Three in a Row

99 Bortles of Beer on the Wall demolished The Hagermaniacs 158.74 to 89.04 while putting up the second-highest score this season. 99 Bortles of Beer on the Wall took a 31.74-point lead on Thursday and never looked back. 99 Bortles of Beer on the Wall is starting the season strong and remains undefeated. The Hagermaniacs (2-1, 369.27 points) drops to fourth place and 99 Bortles of Beer on the Wall (3-0, 492.10 points) remains in first place.

Shane Vereen and LeSean McCoy had several chances for 99 Bortles of Beer on the Wall, but they logged just 59 total yards on 30 combined touches between them.

99 Bortles of Beer on the Wall squares off against the Elmboyz (2-1, 395.77) next week, while The Hagermaniacs face Mile High (1-2, 334.96).

Mile High Gets Win over Spartans, Climbs to 9th Place

Peyton Manning passed for 303 yards (20.02 points) and Zac Stacy added 12.10 points as Mile High got past the Spartans 103.22 to 88.16. This matchup included three lead changes, with the largest lead being 15.06 points after Monday night. The Spartans are having trouble getting started and are winless. If the Spartans didn’t have both Gerald McCoy and Vernon Davis put up zeroes, things could have been different. Mile High (1-2, 334.96 points) climbs into ninth place and the Spartans (0-3, 297.10 points) stay in 11th place.

The Spartans had one rather noticeable starter who could’ve better connected with his QB. Even though Torrey Smith saw a total of eight targets, he only reeled in two catches.

Mile High faces The Hagermaniacs (2-1, 369.27) next week. The Spartans get the M0t0rCityBall3rs (1-2, 428.43), who has averaged an impressive 142.81 points this season.

Sproles Royce Phantoms Get Victory over Fallin-Up, Moves to 7th Place

The Sproles Royce Phantoms got 20.72 points from Drew Brees (293 Pas Yds, 2 TD) and 18.10 from Emmanuel Sanders (149 Rec Yds) to take down Fallin-Up 126.62 to 103.74. The Sproles Royce Phantoms took a 28.88-point lead on Sunday afternoon and held the lead throughout the matchup. Both teams met their expectations, but the Sproles Royce Phantoms picked up the win even while Fallin-Up put up a solid effort and got 28.8% more than their projected 80.54 points. The Sproles Royce Phantoms started one player with zero points while Fallin-Up also served up one goose egg, meaning each team left something on the table. The Sproles Royce Phantoms (1-2, 373.27 points) climbs into seventh place and Fallin-Up (1-2, 328.62 points) drops to eighth place.

Darren Sproles ultimately deserved more touches for Fallin-Up, as he was able to put up 50 total yards on just five touches.

The Sproles Royce Phantoms take on the X CONS (1-2, 303.44) next week, while Fallin-Up gets EL JEFE (0-3, 227.90).

Mr Rodgers Neighborhood Beats X CONS, Tacks On 3rd Consecutive Win

Mr Rodgers Neighborhood got the highest player score of the week from Devin Hester with 37.20 points (25 Rec Yds, 1 Rsh TD) and got past the X CONS 127.38 to 116.20. Mr Rodgers Neighborhood took a 27.90-point lead on Thursday and remained in front for the rest of the matchup. Still undefeated, Mr Rodgers Neighborhood is having a strong start. The X CONS actually average more per game in losses (104.80) than wins (93.84). The X CONS got zero points from Jacoby Jones, which might have made the difference in the outcome. Mr Rodgers Neighborhood (3-0, 406.78 points) climbs into second place and the X CONS (1-2, 303.44 points) drops to 10th place.

Chris Johnson had plenty of opportunities for Mr Rodgers Neighborhood, but he logged just 3.4 yards per touch. A spot where the X CONS really made a regrettable choice is wide receiver. Pierre Garcon could have started in place of Jacoby Jones, and that point difference would have been enough to secure the victory.

Mr Rodgers Neighborhood takes on The Denver Broncos (3-0, 399.06) in Week 4, while the X CONS battle the Sproles Royce Phantoms (1-2, 373.27).

The Denver Broncos Light Up EL JEFE for 3rd Straight Win

The Denver Broncos got 18.20 points from Colin Kaepernick (245 Pas Yds, 54 Rsh Yds, 1 TD), trashing EL JEFE 121.80 to 75.00. These teams are going in different directions, with The Denver Broncos undefeated and EL JEFE winless. EL JEFE was led by Alshon Jeffery with 12.80 points (105 Rec Yds) and Antrel Rolle, who scored 11.00 (1 Int, 3 Tack). The Denver Broncos started one player with zero points while EL JEFE served up two goose eggs, meaning each team left something on the table. The Denver Broncos (3-0, 399.06 points) climb into third place and EL JEFE (0-3, 227.90 points) stays in last place.

EL JEFE had one glaring player that failed to capitalize on opportunities. Despite being targeted nine times, Vincent Jackson could only manage two catches.

In Week 4, The Denver Broncos take on Mr Rodgers Neighborhood (3-0, 406.78), while EL JEFE gets Fallin-Up (1-2, 328.62).
