The Minnesota Vikings are scheduled to meet with Louisiana State QB Zach Mettenberger Wednesday, April 9.

Footballguys View: If the Vikings pass on a quarterback in the first round, then Mettenberger would make a lot of sense for them at the top of the second. Mettenberger has a rocket arm and is your classic pocket passer. He struggles under duress, and don’t ask him to make many plays with his feet. The Vikings are looking for an upgrade over Christian Ponder.
