Adrian Peterson of the Minnesota Vikings

Two weeks in and our fantasy season is heating up! After a bounce back weekend for myself (2-1 with my three teams), we are starting to see the contenders separate themselves from the pretenders. With Week 3 rapidly approaching, there’s not much else to say but Let’s Get To It!!!

***What We Heard***

Around The League!

Surprise Scorpians (C/O 2013): Still cannot move Clowney to reserve even as hes listed as out for 4 to 6 weeks..

Tha Commish: Robert, I have not been impressed with the NFL.com Reserve Roster spot. I looked over your team & you will probably have better chances putting Josh Gordon in your reserve than Clowney ONLY because he’s listed as suspended (SUS) and Clowney doesn’t technically have his status declared as of yet… I suspect once & if he goes on the PUP list you will then be able to. Sorry guys, I didn’t know there wasn’t another way around this. 🙁

I Got Sacks On Sacks On Sacks Gets Late Win Against JUICE’S and BERRY’s

I Got Sacks On Sacks On Sacks picked up 18.88 points from Andrew Luck (172 Pas Yds, 3 TD/1 Int), defeating JUICE’S and BERRY’s 136.68 to 109.74. I Got Sacks On Sacks On Sacks came into the Monday night game facing a 1.64-point deficit, but scored 35.08 for the comeback victory. This was a back-and-forth battle that saw the lead change hands three times, with the largest lead being the final margin. Jordy Nelson brought in the second-highest score in the league this week with 31.90 points (209 Rec Yds, 1 TD) for JUICE’S and BERRY’s. Second-round draft pick Reggie Bush hasn’t broken out yet for JUICE’S and BERRY’s, having put up 6.40 points and 3.20 points so far. On top of the loss, JUICE’S and BERRY’s had two starters score zero points (Lamarr Houston and A.J. Green). I Got Sacks On Sacks On Sacks (2-0, 259.38 points) moves into first place and JUICE’S and BERRY’s (1-1, 259.38 points) stays in fourth place.

Chris Johnson had plenty of opportunities for JUICE’S and BERRY’s (13 to be exact), but could only manage 1.6 yards per touch.

Next week, I Got Sacks On Sacks On Sacks plays Pick 6’n (1-1, 236.81), while JUICE’S and BERRY’s get the NC Bad Boys (1-1, 278.51).

Pick 6’n Wins Against Peyton’s Girl

Jimmy Graham scored two touchdowns (24.80 points) and Julio Jones added 14.80 points as Pick 6’n beat Peyton’s Girl 120.17 to 101.58. Peyton’s Girl just doesn’t have what it takes to beat Pick 6’n, who extended their career unbeaten streak to four games in the series. Bernard Pollard led Peyton’s Girl with 15.80 points (1 Sack, 10 Tack) while Calais Campbell brought in 15.80 (1 Sack, 10 Tack). Pick 6’n started one player with zero points while Peyton’s Girl served up three goose eggs, meaning both teams could have scored more points. Pick 6’n (1-1, 236.81 points) shifts into 10th place and Peyton’s Girl (0-2, 211.60 points) goes to 11th place.

Pick 6’n takes on I Got Sacks On Sacks On Sacks (2-0, 259.38) in Week 3, while Peyton’s Girl goes up against Clam Diggers (1-1, 257.80).

Clam Diggers Gets Win Against NC Bad Boys

A rally on Sunday Night Football (41.50 points, 38% of their total score) wasn’t enough for the NC Bad Boys, as the Clam Diggers earned the 143.44 to 109.88 victory. The late-match efforts were impressive, considering their pregame projections only called for 15.50 points on Sunday night. The Clam Diggers was led by Jay Cutler (176 Pas Yds, 25 Rsh Yds, 4 TD). The Chicago QB passed for four touchdowns and provided all 22.64 of the team’s SNF points to the cause. To make matters worse, the NC Bad Boys had two starters score zero points (Dannell Ellerbe and Jerrell Freeman). The Clam Diggers (1-1, 257.80 points) shifts into eighth place, while the NC Bad Boys (1-1, 278.51 points) winds up in seventh place.

There was one starter on the Clam Diggers who could’ve better connected with his QB. Even though Kelvin Benjamin saw a total of eight targets, he only reeled in two catches.

Next week, the Clam Diggers gets Peyton’s Girl (0-2, 211.60) while the NC Bad Boys goes up against JUICE’S and BERRY’s (1-1, 259.38).

St Pete ConVICKS Blows Up BUCKNASTYS BOYS, Captures Control of Career Series, 3-1

A push in prime time on both Sunday Night Football and Monday Night Football wasn’t nearly enough for the BUCKNASTY’S BOYS. They had 26.00 points on SNF and 19.30 on MNF (combining to be 43% of their total score), but the St Pete ConVICKS still easily got the 156.98 to 104.54 victory. The late-match efforts were somewhat unexpected, considering their pregame projections forecasted 14.40 points on Sunday night and 14.60 on Monday. The St Pete ConVICKS was led by C.J. Spiller, who contributed 26.00 points in the blowout (69 Rsh Yds). The St Pete ConVICKS played one starter with zero points while the BUCKNASTY’S BOYS served up two goose eggs, meaning both teams could have scored more points. The 156.98 points represented the top overall total in the league this week. The St Pete ConVICKS (1-1, 313.74 points) shifts into fifth place, while the BUCKNASTY’S BOYS (1-1, 262.96 points) winds up in ninth place.

Matt Forte got several opportunities for the St Pete ConVICKS, but only produced 2.1 yards per touch.

Next week, the St Pete ConVICKS takes on Hakeem I Saw I Conquered (1-1, 259.54) while the BUCKNASTY’S BOYS gets Georgia Boy (2-0, 246.60).

Hakeem I Saw I Conquered Gets Late Victory over Weapons of Mass Production

Facing a 14.04-point deficit on Monday night, Hakeem I Saw I Conquered scored 48.40 to defeat Weapons of Mass Production 155.44 to 133.08. They also put up the second-highest point total this week. This matchup included four lead changes, with the largest lead being 30.84 points after Sunday afternoon. This upset was revenge for a loss to Weapons of Mass Production in their last meeting a season ago. Third-round draft pick DeSean Jackson has been a disappointment thus far for Weapons of Mass Production, having put up 5.30 points and 1.90 points so far. The margin could have been larger as Hakeem I Saw I Conquered had a starter score zero points (Marques Colston). Hakeem I Saw I Conquered (1-1, 259.54 points) shifts into third place and Weapons of Mass Production (1-1, 294.34 points) winds up in sixth place.

In Week 3, Hakeem I Saw I Conquered plays the St Pete ConVICKS (1-1, 313.74), while Weapons of Mass Production gets The Monstars (0-2, 197.00).

Georgia Boy Gets Victory Against The Monstars

Georgia Boy (2-0, 246.60 points) got the highest individual player score this season from Aaron Rodgers (346 Pas Yds, 28 Rsh Yds, 1 2PT, 3 TD), defeating The Monstars (0-2, 197.00 points) 126.04 to 100.18 in a back-and-forth struggle. Georgia Boy struck first and by Sunday was already ahead 26.10 to 0.00. That advantage evaporated by the end of the early Sunday games and they trailed by 11.48. However, following the late Sunday games, Georgia Boy reclaimed the lead and took home the victory.

Shonn Greene ultimately deserved more touches for The Monstars, as he was able to put up 40 total yards on just five touches.

In Week 3, Georgia Boy takes on the BUCKNASTY’S BOYS (1-1, 262.96) while The Monstars get Weapons of Mass Production (1-1, 294.34).

C/O 2013

Behind a Sizzling Showing from DeMarco Murray, PizzaFreak Picks Up Victory over Over Dwayne Bowe

The contribution of DeMarco Murray played an integral role, as PizzaFreak beat Over Dwayne Bowe 132.12 to 110.28. Murray blew up for 23.30 points in a 21.84-point win for PizzaFreak. He rushed for 167 yards as part of his showcase performance (167 Rsh Yds, 1 TD). To make matters worse, Over Dwayne Bowe had a starter score zero points (Eric Berry). Over Dwayne Bowe (0-2, 240.22 points) winds up in 11th place, while PizzaFreak (1-1, 257.96 points) remains in ninth place.

Next week, PizzaFreak gets Hero7861 (2-0, 283.34), while Over Dwayne Bowe faces Cinderella (0-2, 263.57).

Eventual Champions Picks Up Victory over Cinderella

A rally on Monday Night Football (43.44 points, 36% of their total score) wasn’t enough for Cinderella, as Eventual Champions got the 138.94 to 120.34 victory. The late-match efforts were a little unexpected, considering their original Monday projection was only 35.98 points. Eventual Champions was led by Giovani Bernard this week, who contributed 22.90 points (90 Rsh Yds, 79 Rec Yds, 1 TD). Jay Cutler also helped out with 22.64 points by getting four passing touchdowns (176 Pas Yds, 25 Rsh Yds, 4 TD). Eventual Champions played one starter with zero points while Cinderella also served up one goose egg, meaning both sides missed scoring opportunities. Eventual Champions (2-0, 283.40 points) moves into second place, while Cinderella (0-2, 263.57 points) winds up in 10th place.

There was one rather glaring player on Eventual Champions that let some chances slip through his hands. Even though Kelvin Benjamin saw a total of eight targets, he only reeled in two catches.

Eventual Champions get the NC Titans (1-1, 229.78) in Week 3 while Cinderella faces Over Dwayne Bowe (0-2, 240.22).

Hero7861 Tops NC Titans

A rally on both Sunday Night Football and Monday Night Football wasn’t enough for the NC Titans. They put up 23.20 points on SNF and 22.88 on MNF (combining to be 45% of their total score), but Hero7861 still got the 128.88 to 102.48 victory. The late-match efforts were somewhat unexpected, considering their pregame projections forecasted 15.90 points on Sunday night and 19.78 on Monday. Hero7861 was led by Arian Foster this week, who contributed 22.00 points (138 Rsh Yds, 1 TD). Peyton Manning also chipped in 20.58 points on three passing touchdowns (242 Pas Yds, 3 TD). Hero7861 (2-0, 283.34 points) shifts into third place, while the NC Titans (1-1, 229.78 points) goes to fifth place.

Hero7861 takes on PizzaFreak (1-1, 257.96) in Week 3 while the NC Titans get Eventual Champions (2-0, 283.40).

Behind Three Big Performances, DeSeantourage Pounds I go Deep

The three-headed monster of Jordy Nelson, Darren Sproles, and C.J. Spiller led the way, as DeSeantourage dismantled I go Deep 181.58 to 89.26. That threesome combined to register 85.20 points, significantly outperforming the top scorers from I go Deep (Justin Tucker, Paul Worrilow, and Zac Stacy), who totaled 37.10 points. Nelson racked up 209 yards, accounting for 31.90 points (209 Rec Yds, 1 TD). Sproles put up 152 receiving yards to contribute 27.30 points (26 Rsh Yds, 152 Rec Yds, 1 TD), while Spiller chipped in 26.00 points (69 Rsh Yds). Both Nelson and Sproles also recorded positional highs for the week. With 181.58 points, DeSeantourage had the highest total in the league this week. Both teams could have scored more points as DeSeantourage had one starter turn in zero points and I go Deep also had one. I go Deep (1-1, 232.77 points) goes to fourth place, while DeSeantourage (2-0, 353.00 points) remains in first place.

There was one starter on I go Deep that let some chances slip through his hands. Despite seeing 13 targets, Calvin Johnson made just six catches.

DeSeantourage was on a different level in the backfield, as they started two of the league’s top-10 overall RBs this week (including Sproles, who was in the top five).

DeSeantourage takes on V-Town (1-1, 272.28) next week while I go Deep battles the Surprise Scorpians (1-1, 215.86).

V-Town Picks Up Victory over F-U-Pay-Me

V-Town beat F-U-Pay-Me 146.74 to 126.39 and logged the second-highest score this week. V-Town took a 13.50-point lead on Thursday and remained in front for the rest of the matchup. This win was revenge for a loss to F-U-Pay-Me in their last meeting a season ago. If F-U-Pay-Me didn’t have both Marques Colston and DeAngelo Williams put up zeroes, the outcome could have gone the other way. V-Town (1-1, 272.28 points) shifts into eighth place and F-U-Pay-Me (0-2, 238.05 points) stays in the cellar.

In Week 3, V-Town plays DeSeantourage (2-0, 353.00), while F-U-Pay-Me faces The Pride of Detroit (1-1, 252.88).

The Pride of Detroit Smashes Surprise Scorpians, Still Undefeated All-Time Versus Them

The Pride of Detroit took advantage of 24.80 points from Jimmy Graham (118 Rec Yds, 2 TD), thumping the Surprise Scorpians 128.14 to 68.94. The Pride of Detroit took a 4.00-point lead on Thursday and maintained an advantage throughout the matchup. The Surprise Scorpians just doesn’t have what it takes to beat The Pride of Detroit, who extended their career unbeaten streak to three games in the series. Second-round draft pick Jamaal Charles might be a bust for the Surprise Scorpians, having put up 3.40 points and 2.20 points so far. With Doug Martin delivering zero points for The Pride of Detroit, the margin could have been larger. The Pride of Detroit (1-1, 252.88 points) moves into sixth place and the Surprise Scorpians (1-1, 215.86 points) goes to seventh place.

Next week, The Pride of Detroit plays F-U-Pay-Me (0-2, 238.05), while the Surprise Scorpians matches up against I go Deep (1-1, 232.77).

2014’s Finest

The Hagermaniacs Bring Down Elmboyz

The Hagermaniacs benefited from 21.60 points from Julian Edelman (81 Rec Yds, 1 TD) and 18.70 from Dont’a Hightower (2 Sack, 7 Tack) to take down the Elmboyz 127.14 to 118.09. Jay Cutler led the Elmboyz with 22.64 points (176 Pas Yds, 25 Rsh Yds, 4 TD) while Alfred Morris brought in 20.50 (85 Rsh Yds, 2 TD). Fifth-round draft pick DeSean Jackson has stumbled for the Elmboyz, having put up 5.30 points and 1.90 points so far. If the Elmboyz didn’t have three starters put up goose eggs, the outcome might have been different. The Elmboyz (1-1, 240.27 points) winds up in seventh place and The Hagermaniacs (2-0, 280.23 points) remains in second place.

There was one player on The Hagermaniacs that failed to capitalize on opportunites. Even though Calvin Johnson saw a total of 13 targets, he reeled in just six catches.

In Week 3, The Hagermaniacs takes on 99 Bortles of Beer on the Wall (2-0, 333.36), while the Elmboyz gets the M0t0rCityBall3rs (1-1, 300.53).

M0t0rCityBall3rs Snatches One from Mile High

The M0t0rCityBall3rs put up the second-highest score this week and erased a 29.08-point deficit on Sunday night to take down Mile High 144.78 to 123.28. Each team met their expectations, but the M0t0rCityBall3rs scored 58.4% more than their projected 91.38 points to get the win. Jimmy Graham led Mile High with 24.80 points (118 Rec Yds, 2 TD) while Peyton Manning brought in 20.58 (242 Pas Yds, 3 TD). The M0t0rCityBall3rs started two players with zero points while Mile High served up one goose egg, meaning both teams could have scored more points. The M0t0rCityBall3rs (1-1, 300.53 points) moves into sixth place and Mile High (0-2, 231.74 points) goes to 10th place.

The M0t0rCityBall3rs take on the Elmboyz (1-1, 240.27) in Week 3, while Mile High battles the Spartans (0-2, 208.94).

99 Bortles of Beer on the Wall Wins Against Spartans

99 Bortles of Beer on the Wall benefited from 16.20 points from LeSean McCoy (79 Rsh Yds, 1 TD) and 15.70 from Karlos Dansby (1 Sack, 8 Tack, 4 Ast) to take down the Spartans 140.34 to 106.08. 99 Bortles of Beer on the Wall took a 10.30-point lead on Thursday and maintained an advantage throughout the matchup. 99 Bortles of Beer on the Wall got the win despite a good effort from the Spartans, who scored 29.3% more than their projected 82.02 points. On top of the loss, the Spartans got zero points from both Gerald McCoy and Maurice Jones-Drew. The Spartans (0-2, 208.94 points) goes to 11th place and 99 Bortles of Beer on the Wall (2-0, 333.36 points) remains in first place.

99 Bortles of Beer on the Wall gets The Hagermaniacs (2-0, 280.23) in Week 3, while the Spartans face Mile High (0-2, 231.74).

Mr Rodgers Neighborhood Gets Late Win Against Sproles Royce Phantoms

Mr Rodgers Neighborhood picked up the highest point total by a player this season from Aaron Rodgers with 37.44 points (346 Pas Yds, 28 Rsh Yds, 1 2PT, 3 TD) and erased a 14.64-point deficit on Sunday night to take down the Sproles Royce Phantoms 141.54 to 124.78. This matchup saw three lead changes, with the largest lead being 50.48 points after Sunday afternoon. Both teams played quite well but Mr Rodgers Neighborhood scored 48.8% more than a projected 95.10 points to get the win. The Sproles Royce Phantoms (0-2, 249.20 points) goes to ninth place and Mr Rodgers Neighborhood (2-0, 279.40 points) remains in third place.

For Mr Rodgers Neighborhood, Hakeem Nicks wasn’t just the lone WR to post a negative score; he was the only starter throughout the whole league in negative territory. Chris Johnson got several chances for Mr Rodgers Neighborhood, but only produced 1.6 yards per touch.

Mr Rodgers Neighborhood squares off against the X CONS (1-1, 187.24) in Week 3, while the Sproles Royce Phantoms get Fallin-Up (1-1, 225.88).

The Denver Broncos Goes Crazy on Fallin-Up, Establishes Early-Season Dominance

The Denver Broncos got the highest point total in the league this week, thumping Fallin-Up 147.52 to 97.14. It was a monumental beating, with the 50.38-point margin being the second-highest recorded in the league this season. Le’Veon Bell led Fallin-Up with 11.70 points (59 Rsh Yds, 48 Rec Yds) while Jeremy Maclin racked up 11.50 (45 Rec Yds, 1 TD). Fallin-Up needs results from first-round draft pick Jamaal Charles, who has scored 3.40 points and 2.20 points the past two weeks. Adding insult to injury, Fallin-Up had a starter score zero points (A.J. Green). The Denver Broncos (2-0, 277.46 points) remains in fourth place and Fallin-Up (1-1, 225.88 points) stays in fifth place.

Matt Forte had plenty of looks for The Denver Broncos, but he logged just 2.1 yards per touch.

The Denver Broncos takes on EL JEFE (0-2, 155.20) in Week 3, while Fallin-Up faces the Sproles Royce Phantoms (0-2, 249.20).

Fueled by Unexpected Output from Giovani Bernard, X CONS Beats EL JEFE

With the eye-opening production from Giovani Bernard paving the way, the X CONS got a victory over EL JEFE 93.84 to 73.52. Only projected to score 7.60 points, the Cincinnati RB came up big with 22.90 in the 20.32-point win. Joining Bernard (90 Rsh Yds, 79 Rec Yds, 1 TD), Cam Newton (281 Pas Yds, 1 2PT, 1 TD) pitched in with 15.14 points. Adding insult to injury, EL JEFE got goose eggs from both Jordan Cameron and Jerrell Freeman. The X CONS (1-1, 187.24 points) moves into eighth place, while EL JEFE (0-2, 155.20 points) stays in the cellar.

There was one notable starter on the X CONS that missed out on opportunities. Even though Kelvin Benjamin saw a total of eight targets, he only reeled in two catches.

The X CONS square off against Mr Rodgers Neighborhood (2-0, 279.40) in Week 3 while EL JEFE gets The Denver Broncos.
