Article I – Contacting League Officers

Your league officers are available to you if you have any questions or are in need of assistance.  If your question pertains to a feature provided by our fantasy football league hosting provider, please utilize their support resources BEFORE contacting a league officer.

For league-specific issues, please contact the league commissioner first. If the league commissioner is unavailable, then contact one of the co-commissioners (your Conference Ambassador).

If you cannot contact a commissioner or co-commissioner, use the league message board to make your request. If your issue is time-sensitive (for instance, if you are requesting a updated roster submission because you don’t have access to the internet), please text or call the league commissioner (text is preferred). This way if we need to make your roster change retroactively, we can verify the time of your request, make the modification to your roster, all while being transparent in doing so with the time stamp of your request for all to see.

League Competition Ambassador

Any and all rule changes will be overseen by our league competition ambassador. Any league wide rule changes that will affect how a team owner would make draft selections, or establish their keepers will be polled to the entire league. The said poll would need a high majority vote (a two-thirds threshold is needed to pass any poll; or 17 of 24 league owners).

Any issue can be polled, albeit additional or retraction of roster spots, scoring changes, even the payout percentages of monetary prizes can be polled. You can submit any additions/retractions to the league commissioner or the league competition ambassador and we will poll it to the entire league.

Article II – League Fees & Other Fees

The following fees will be collected yearly to finance league operations and prizes.

Entry Fee: $50 per team

The league entry fee is comprised of the following divided by our 24 teams…

  • league hosting fee (for MyFantasyLeague.com) – $179.90, or $7.50 per team
  • draft client (for ClickyDraft) – $19.99, or $0.83 per team
  • trophies (for the take home E.L.S.I.E. Award & two conference championship trophies) – $75.00, or $3.13 per team
  • league payouts (for 1st Place $400; 2nd Place $100; 3rd Place, E.L.S.I.E. Award & Confidence Pool, $50 each) – $650.00 total, or $27.08 per team
  • Bounties & Fines ($250 allocated to this for B&F payouts and league fee reductions) – $250.00, or $10.42 per team
  • trophy engraving – $25.00, or $1.04 per team

Article III – Prize Payout Structure

Our league awards cash prizes to the top 3 teams at the end of each fantasy season. We also award a cash prize to the Confidence Pool Picks winner & The E.L.S.I.E. Island winner.

Payout Structure

Here is how we’ll award the top 3 teams, pool picks winner and E.L.S.I.E. Island.

  • 1st Place: $400 (33.3%)
  • 2nd Place: $100 (8.33%)
  • 3rd Place: $50 (4.17%)
  • Confidence Pool Picks Champion: $50 (4.17%)
  • E.L.S.I.E. Island Champion: $50 (4.17%)
  • Money Allocated to Bounties & Fines: $250 (20.83%)

The payouts detailed above shall be considered the actual payout amounts pending verification of payment from all owners.  Payout percentages were added and will be used if we are unable to collect some fees from all league owners.

A. Bounties & Fines

Bounties are a weekly way to accrue revenue that can be applied to your yearly league fees. At the start of each season, league fees will automatically be deducted from positive balances from the season before. If the balance is less than the required $50, team owners will only need to pay the difference.

Fines are also accessed weekly for various reason, however they are not to be paid out of pocket. Fines will only come out of money won (albeit 1st Place Prize, Pool Picks Champ, etc.). Both Bounties & Fines balances will carry over from year to year.

Owners can cash out a positive balance once their balance reaches $100 after league fees have been deducted. Although not required, owners can pay their negative balance in addition to their league fees if they see fit

Article IV – Late Payment Penalties

Any prize winnings accrued by a team who hasn’t paid their league fees (by the deadline, if arrangements have not already been made with the treasurer), will be forfeited. If a team has not paid their entry fee by the final game of the regular season, that owner will be expelled immediately.

The commissioner is the only league official that can provide a grace period to collect fees. If league fees have not been collected before the end of the regular season, the commissioner will take over managing the delinquent team for the purposes of the championship/loser brackets.

Article V – Playoff Configuration

Our league will implement a 10-team Championship playoff bracket known as The Chase! The top 5 teams from each conference will be determined first by win/loss record, any ties will go to the tiebreakers we have in place. The Chase! will start on week 13 of the NFL regular season and last 4 weeks.

We will also implement two, 8-team consolation playoff brackets known as the Draft Lottery. Unlike the championship bracket, the consolation bracket will start on week 14 of the NFL regular season and last for 3 weeks. The final standings of the consolation bracket will help determine the top 8 draft positions in each conference for the following year’s fantasy draft.

Article VI – Determining Draft Order

The Draft Lottery is what we use to determine the draft order year after year. In essence, this is just like the NBA Lottery where the worst teams have the best odds of obtaining the 1st overall pick! The worst team in both conferences (or the #8 seed in either conferences Draft Lottery) will start off with 25 chances. The next worst team in both conferences (or the #7 seed in either conferences Draft Lottery) will start off with 20 chances and so on. See below for the breakdown…

1st Overall Pick Chances…

  • Worse record gets 25/100 chances
  • 2nd-worse gets 20/100 chances
  • 3rd-worse gets 15/100 chances
  • 4th-worse gets 10/100 chances
  • 5th-worse gets 5/100 chances

During each conference’s Draft Lottery Playoffs, a 1st Round win will add 2/100 chance to your team’s overall chances, a 2nd Round win will add 4/100 chance to your team’s overall chances, while becoming your conference’s Draft Lottery Champ will add 9/100 chance to your overall chances. In short, by winning the draft lottery you will add 15/100 to your overall chances.

Draft Lottery Results…

  • 1st Place Finish: +15 chances added to your teams’ chances
2nd Place Finish: +6 chances added to your teams’ chances
3rd Place Finish: +2 chances added to your teams’ chances
4th Place Finish: +2 chances added to your teams’ chances
5th-8th Place Finish: +0 chances added to your teams’ chances

Championship Bracket Results (in your conference)…

  • 1st Place Finish (Champion): 12th Draft Position
2nd Place Finish: 11th Draft Position
3rd Place Finish: 10th Draft Position
4th Place Finish: 9th Draft Position

We use the Draft Pick Lottery website for our Draft Lottery.

A. Draft

The draft will go 18 rounds. Draft order is determined by the Draft Lottery from the season before. The draft will be a serpentine draft, with the order being flip flopped every round. If there are new teams coming into the league, they will have a chance to select up to five players from the roster they are taking over to keep as their keepers going into the draft.

The draft has a set date every year. The draft will take place the last weekend of the NFL Preseason (or the Sunday BEFORE the season starts). The scheduled time for the draft may vary from year to year, although the time will ALWAYS be Eastern Standard Time.

If something comes up last minute and you are unable to draft, you have three options. You can designate someone not in the league to draft for you, you can designate someone in the league but from the other conference to draft for you, or you can let the draft client auto-draft for you.

Article VII – Trade Guidelines

For a trade to be granted in a given week, it must be accepted through our league hosting service (not on a handshake) no later than 48 hours before game time.  This gives all owners time to review the trade before the games begin (whether on Thursday, Saturday on Sunday).

Any trades that are submitted through the website within 24 hours of game time will be voided. These trades have to be re-submitted and accepted after the MNF game and will be considered in the subsequent fantasy week. Players who have already played on a given week cannot be traded until the following week as well.

Once accepted through the hosting service, a trade cannot be withdrawn by one party due to player injury, suspension, or any other unforeseen circumstance. The only way a trade can be voided has to have the league commissioner’s consent.

During the 48 hour trade window acceptance period, all owners (except those involved in the trade) will be given the opportunity to veto or propose a better trade to those involved.

If for whatever reason there is an issue with a trade, a proposed trade, etc., the commissioner, in all his wisdom and glory, will make the ultimate decision.

Article VIII – Creating New League Rules

When a league dispute arises which has not been addressed in the league bylaws, a discussion will ensue on possible resolutions to the dispute. Based on these discussions, the Commissioner will create a league poll so that owners can vote on an appropriate course of action.

The league will follow the course of action based on the response of the league poll votes. All polls will need at least an 67% approval/disapproval vote from all league members (at least 16 of 24). Also, we will create a new rule in the league bylaws based on the result of the league poll so that similar disputes will be resolved in the same manner.

A. Creating New League Rules without a League Poll

There are times when a discrepancy comes about that a new league rule needs to be implemented immediately. These rules will be more league purposed only and will not affect the weekly management of your team. An example of this would be a discrepancy with the free agency period that starts before the draft.

In these instances, the commissioner and the two league ambassadors will all have to agree for a new rule to be implemented.

Article IX – Penalties for Roster Oversights

If an owner has a roster spot open (either due to bye week or simple oversight), but has a backup player available on their bench, then the Commissioner will insert the available player into the open roster slot. If two eligible bench players exist then the player with the highest average projected point output for that week will be inserted into the open roster slot.

The commissioner will also make a substitution for a player who is OUT using the same rules above. The one exception is when that player is already locked due to that players game start time in which case that player will remain in the lineup.

Team owners are allowed to have one open roster slot on their team during any given week, assuming that they make it known to the league that they are purposefully leaving that roster spot open. If one roster spot is open then the team owner will receive 0 points for that single roster spot.

No team owner may have more than one open spot on their roster during a given week. If more than one position is left open on a roster, and there are viable substitutes to fill in for those players on that teams roster, then that owners will be subject to receive -25 points for each open roster spot for that week.

Article X – Managing Your Roster

Team rosters will consist of 25 active roster spots, 3 Taxi/Practice Squad roster spots and 2 IR roster spots. The starting lineups will consist of 1 Quarterback, 2 Running Backs, 2 Wide Receivers, 1 Tight End, 1 Kicker, 1 Flex (RB/WR/TE), 2 Defensive Lineman, 3 Linebackers & 2 Defensive Backs.

To place a player on IR, the player has to be listed as “Doubtful”, “OUT” or “Suspended” on the NFL’s weekly injury report. Once a player is placed on your Taxi/Practice Squad or IR, that player is no longer counted on the 25 man active roster. Once a player is no longer listed as “Doubtful”, “OUT” or “Suspended” on the NFL’s weekly injury report, he must be moved back to your fantasy team’s active roster. Failure to do so will result in a roster violation and you will not be able to submit a lineup for the upcoming week until fixed.

All teams can protect up to five players (or 20% of their roster) from season to season, but no player can be kept for more than three consecutive seasons in a row.

Teams will be required to relinquish a draft pick for the player kept determined by that players Round Tender. A drafted players round tender is established in several ways but the most common way is by what round they were drafted in. In example, if you drafted Ezekiel Elliott in the 1st Round, you will have to give up a 1st Round pick in order to keep him for the upcoming season.

There are two cycles that players will go through when establishing keepers, and a players round tender can change during the two keeper cycles. Since we reward team who draft well, if a team drafted Alvin Kamara-RB after the 9th round, Kamara’s round tender would be…

  • 1st Year Kept, a 9th rounder with a 2 yr round acceleration
  • 2nd Year Kept, a 7th rounder with a 2 yr round acceleration
  • 3rd Year Kept, a 5th rounder

But say that owner for whatever reason didn’t want to keep Kamara, then his round tender will be adjusted to their fantasy point total ranking at their position for that season. No way should another team grab Kamara at that price if they didn’t draft him.

Any player selected as a keeper can be kept by one team for a maximum of three consecutive seasons (or Keeper Count). After their third consecutive season, the player MUST BE added back to the player pool to be redrafted. The team losing said player can redraft the player again if they wanted and the player’s Keeper Count will restart all over again.

A. 9th Round Stack

Players established as a 9th Round Tender can be stacked. What this means is you can keep multiple 9th Round Tendered players and you subsequently give up consecutive round picks starting with a 9th rounder. See the table for a better understanding of this…

  • If you keep one 9th Round Tendered player, you will have to give up a 9th round pick.
  • If you keep two 9th Round Tendered players, you will have to give up 9th & 10th round picks.
  • If you keep three 9th Round Tendered players, you will have to give up a 9th, 10th & 11th round picks.
  • If you keep four 9th Round Tendered players, you will have to give up a 9th, 10th, 11th & 12th round picks.
  • If you keep five 9th Round Tendered players, you will have to give up a 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th & 13th round picks.

B. True Round Tender Value

Future round tenders are based off of that players True Round Tender Value. In short, when a player is determined to be a 4th Round Tender, a team will use their 4th round pick to keep that player. There are some cases where a team will overpay (or use a higher round draft pick) to keep that player due to the fact that they have another player they want to keep with the same round tender, they don’t have a 4th round pick to give, or whatever other reason that arises.

In this case, if a team used a 3rd round pick to keep a 4th Round Tendered player the upcoming season their round acceleration will increase +1 as normal. That player will be a 3rd Round Tender & not a 2nd Round Tender based off of his true 4th round tender value of that year.

For 9th Round Tender players who were stacked, their round acceleration will increase by +1 or +2 depending on that players acceleration. No matter if you spent a 10th or an 11th round pick to keep that player, their round tender for the upcoming season will be based off of their true round tender value of a 9th rounder.

So if you stacked three 9th Round Tendered players with a +2 acceleration and you gave up your 9th, 10th & 11th round picks to keep them, for the upcoming season their round tenders will all be valued as a 7th Round Tender. This is based off of their true round tender value of a 9th rounder for that current season.

If you stacked three 9th Round Tendered players with a normal +1 acceleration and you gave up your 9th, 10th & 11th round picks to keep them, for the upcoming season their round tenders will all be valued as a 8th Round Tender. This is based off of their true round tender of a 9th rounder for that current season.

C. Round Tender Acceleration

Round tenders will accelerate +1 round for each consecutive season a player is kept. Round tenders will accelerate +2 rounds for players drafted after the 10th round for each consecutive season that player is kept.

D. Free Agents

Free Agents, or players that were picked up through the waiver wire and not drafted, can ONLY be kept under the following two scenarios…

Restricted Free Agents (RFA):

You can designate up to two free agents (as long as you do not go over your teams 5 players kept limit) from your team as your team’s Restricted Free Agents. Once selected, that player’s round designation will be determined by the players fantasy point ranking for their position (but no lower than a 9th Round pick). *See Below*

Any conference team can attempt to acquire another teams player by offering up a draft pick one round that the asking price for that player. The team the player is currently on will have 24 hours to match the offer from the other team. If their offer is not matched, that player will be added to the new team.

Compensation for the Restricted Free Agent lost will come in the form of a draft pick in the following season. That pick will be determined by that player’s fantasy point ranking for their position for the upcoming season.

Un-Restricted Free Agent:

Any players not designated as a Keeper or a Restricted Free Agent by their current team are to be considered Un-Restricted Free Agents and will be returned to the draft pool and will be available for the Free Agency period. Any team can select one player from their conference player pool as long as they are willing to pay that players round tender price in the upcoming draft. Again, this can only be done once and no compensation will be given in this instance…

E. Free Agent/Compensation Tender Table

This table is for players who’s round tender is determined by their fantasy point total ranking for that season at their position. If a RB finishes ranked 17th in scoring among all RB’s in the league, he is considered a Tier 1 RB and will be tendered as a 4th rounder. The following tables are to be used for tendering the rounds of undrafted players, UFA’s and for compensation of any RFA’s lost…

Table A (for QB’s, TE’s & K’s)

  • 1st-12th: Considered as a Tier 1, 4th Round Tender
  • 13th-24th: Considered as a Tier 2, 6th Round Tender
  • 25th-36th: Considered as a Tier 3, 8th Round Tender
  • 37th or below: 9th Round Tender

Table B (for RB’s, WR’s, DL’s & DB’s)

  • 1st-24th: Considered as a Tier 1, 4th Round Tender
  • 25th-48th: Considered as a Tier 2, 6th Round Tender
  • 49th-60th: Considered as a Tier 3, 8th Round Tender
  • 61st or below: 9th Round Tender

Table C (for LB’s Only)

  • 1st-20th: Considered as a Tier 1, 4th Round Tender
  • 21st-40th: Considered as a Tier 2, 6th Round Tender
  • 41st-60th: Considered as a Tier 3, 8th Round Tender
  • 61st or below: 9th Round Tender

E. K3’s or Final Year Keepers

Final year keepers, or K3’s, are players that have been kept on one team for a three consecutive seasons.

NOTE: No team can keep a player any longer than three consecutive seasons

If a K3 player is on your end of year roster, he will not be eligible to be kept going into the upcoming season. That player will also not be available during the Free Agency period, they will only come available again during the fantasy draft.

A K3 players, upcoming round tender is established by their average draft position (or ADP) of the current season we’re in.

Article XI – League Rules

A. Schedule

The schedule will consist of sixteen games played in twelve weeks. Each team will play each divisional foe twice, an entire division from the other conference or four non-conference games, and six random conference foes. The 13th, 14th, 15th, and 16th weeks of the season will be the playoffs. The 3 division champions will earn automatic bids into the playoffs (or The Chase!), and two wild card teams from each conference. The wild card teams will always be seeded fourth and fifth going into the playoffs and will play a play-in game in week 13. All other teams will have a bye in week 13. The remaining seven teams plus the loser of each play-in game from each conference will play in their conferences consolation playoffs (or Draft Lottery) to determine the draft order for the next season.

B. Tiebreakers

If, at the end of the regular season, two or more teams finish with the same record, the following steps will be used to break the tie:

Division/Conference Tiebreakers

  1. Overall Record
  2. Head-to-Head
  3. Head-to-Head, Total Points
  4. Divisional Record
  5. Total Points
  6. Most High Score Weeks
  7. Coin Toss

If a regular season game ends in a tie, it will go down as just that…, a tie! If a playoff game ends in a tie, the highest scoring bench player from both teams will be used as the tiebreaker. The bench player, or tiebreaker player, does not have to be determined beforehand…

C. Transactions/Trade Deadline

Waiver Wire add/drops and trades can be made/proposed freely between teams with no weekly or seasonal limitations. Add/Drops can be made any time during the regular season and playoffs although they are not allowed during the off-season. Only one trade is allowed between the same two teams during the same season, meaning the same two teams can’t keep make multiple trades back in forth all season long. This is for transparency purposes and to keep collusion between any two teams to a minimum.

The trade deadline however is at the start of week 7 of the NFL season. After that, no trades can be made until the start of the new calendar year (typically 20 days before the upcoming season’s draft).

D. Waiver Wire

During the season, the new week starts on Wednesdays at 10 am. At 10 am on Wednesday mornings, the waiver wire is opened up to all teams on a First Come, First Serve basis. This will last up until kickoff of each teams’ game when players lock automatically. At that time the Waiver Priority goes into effect. We have Rolling Waivers, meaning your team will be put to the end of the waiver list once you have a successful waiver request. You do not go down in waiver priority otherwise.

Any player that is dropped from a roster will automatically be locked for 24 hours (in case the player was dropped by mistake and for all teams to have a fair chance at acquiring that player). If a player was dropped accidentally, that owner will have the 24 hour period to contact the league commissioner or their conference ambassador so we can correct mistake. Once the 24 hour period is over, we will considered the player dropped as intentionally dropped.
