Chris "CJ2K" Johnson of the Tennessee Titans

As we kicked off the 2nd half of our inaugural season of The League!, the bye weeks, and some injuries, have continued to keep team owners scrambling through the waiver wire. With top tier teams trying to maintain their competitive edge, the lower tier teams are trying to gain any edge possible. This week featured the continuance of a streak, a new team name & attitude, a new League Poll, and a new tutorial on TheELSIE.com. So Let’s Get To It!!!

This week’s League Poll ask should we add a monetary prize to next seasons championship title? Ofcourse in doing this, we would have to add a season fee to all team owners to create such a pot. To vote, click here. To access the tutorial on Fantasy Alerts, click here.

This weeks fantasy champ, Chris “CJ2K” Johnson, tallied 195 Rush Yds & 2 TD’s, plus added 3 Rec yds (32.80). Unfortunately for the BUCKNASTYS BOYS (2-5), CJ2K was their only offense as #5 Pick 6’n (5-2) found a way to overcome CJ2K’s huge day. With strong performances from Pick 6’n Ryan Fitzpatrick (18.30), Jeremy Kerley (14.40) and Brandon Marshall (14.10).

The #3 St. Pete ConVICKS (6-1), lead by Randall Cobb (26.60), were able to hold off the NC Bad Boys (2-5) in a close game for their 5th straight win. The NC Bad Boys Vincent Jackson (28.60) and RG3 (23.22) both turned out strong performances but the St. Pete ConVICKS’ Randall Cobb, Miles Austin (13.70) and LB-Jerod Mayo (13.50) were just too much.

In the upset of the week, The Monstars (4-3) got a big win upsetting the #2 I Got Sacks On Sacks On Sacks (5-2). The Monstars got big performances from Drew Brees (29.18), Frank Gore (18.20) and Doug Martin (18.20) as the bye week absolutely destroyed I Got Sacks On Sacks On Sacks. Without taking anything away from The Monstars, and despite big days from I Got Sacks On Sacks On Sacks’ and Rob Gronkowski (19.80) and LB-James Laurinaitis (14.50), I Got Sacks On Sacks On Sacks had a total of 8 players on bye weeks this week. Damn!

In this weeks Game to Watch, top ranked #1 Maclin on Your Girl (6-1) added to their winning streak and edged out #4 Weapons of Mass Production (4-3) for their 6th consecutive victory. Maclin on Your Girl got strong performances from Tom Brady (17.36) and Percy Harvin (15.40), while Weapons of Mass Production’s Arian Foster (22.30) and Fred Jackson (18.00) couldn’t keep pace to claim the win.

With a new team name & attitude, the Clam Diggers (1-6) (formerly known as Tampasaab), got their first win of the season against the Tampa Giants (1-6). Despite the Clam Diggers leaving strong performances from Josh Freeman (29.10), Rashad Jennings (16.20) and LaRon Landry (13.00) on the sidelines, Adrian Peterson (22.90), LB-Luke Kuechly (14.50), Tony Romo (14.10) and Sebastian Janikowski (14.00) were able to hold off the Tampa Giants’ DB-Devin McCourty (28.90), Jordy Nelson (18.20) and Andrew Luck (16.64).

And in the blow out of the week, DemBoys (4-3) got a much needed win topping Peyton’s Girl (2-5). DemBoys’ Aaron Rodgers (22.68), Shonn Greene (16.80) and Santana Moss (16.70) turned out strong performances as Peyton’s Girl Victor Cruz (20.10) and Eli Manning (13.88) were their leading scorers.
