T.J. Whosyamomma? Championship!!! Lol…, Well it all comes down to one last game as The League’sfinale ends with our version of Super Sunday. But I must say…, this is a lil embarrassing. To take nothing away from our two teams contending for The League’s E.L.S.I.E. Award, but their overall season records have left a lot to be desired. But the Tampa Giants and the Clam Diggers both got hot when it counted and found themselves in this game. They managed to rape the waiver wire to find those unexpected gems that many of us overlooked. They knew when to go in another direction when some of us stayed with those big name stars that continued to under achieve. So with that, Let’s Get To It!!!

We start off with the two games in the championship bracket first, as the Clam Diggers (4-11) pulled off a massive upset in upending the top seeded #1 The Monstars (10-4). The Clam Diggers Adrian Peterson (29.20), Alfred Morris (21.30), K-Sebastian Janikowski (19.00), Knowshon Moreno (18.60) and DL-Rob Jackson (13.00) all had monster games in wake of leading the Tampa Giants to the championship game. And all while leaving Tony Romo’s (20.24) performance on the sidelines. The Monstars, who also featured big time performances from Drew Brees (28.38), Frank Gore (21.70), Shayne Graham (18.00) and Trent Richardson (15.20), put up a strong fight in a losing effort.

For the second time this season, the Tampa Giants (5-10) have gotten the best of the #3 St. Pete ConVICKS (10-4), but this time when it mattered most. The Tampa Giants, who left Stevie Johnson’s (17.50) performance on the sidelines, got big time performances from Julio Jones (24.00), Cam Newton (17.94), DB-Devin McCourty (16.20) and David Wilson (13.20). The St. Pete ConVICKS, who also left a big time performance and possibly the difference in the game on the sidelines in Danny Amendola (15.10), got solid performances from DB-Patrick Peterson (16.40), C.J. Spiller (16.10), Steven Jackson (14.60), LB-NaVorro Bowman (13.50), Matt Forte (13.30) and Randall Cobb (13.00) in the last minute loss.

A Quick Recap of the Other Four Games:

The BUCKNASTYS BOYS (6-9) topped the once formidable #4 Maclin on Your Girl (8-6) to place themselves into the 5th Place Game. The BUCKNASTYS BOYS are 2-1 in this years playoffs.#2 I Got Sacks On Sacks On Sacks (10-4) rebounded from their disappointing loss to defeat DemBoys (9-6) to place themselves in the 5th Place Game.

#5 Pick 6’n (9-5), who once was heavily favored to win it all, pulled out a big win against the NC Bad Boys (5-9) during a disappointing and unsatisfying playoffs.

Since we haven’t hammered out a place to do our trophy presentation, I’m making an executive decision. We will be presenting our trophy at Beef O’Brady’s on Himes Ave in Tampa (8810 N. Himes Ave.) this Sunday, Dec. 30th at 1pm. I hope everybody can make it out and if not feel free to hit me up at (813) 516-1978 to voice your concerns and opinions so I can attempt to accommodate everybody. Once again, I want to thank everybody for participating in making the inaugural season of The League! a successful one, and to the Clam Diggers and the Tampa Giants…, Good Luck! Late!!!
