Nick Foles of the Philadelphia Eagles

What’s going on ladies & gents! Hope everybody had a great week or work and preparation for this weeks upcoming fantasy match ups! Last week, it seemed as every top team in The League! lost?!?! The only good thing about losing last week, especially if you were in the E.L.S.I.E. Poll, is that with most of the Top 10 losing, not many teams fell. So this week’s E.L.S.I.E. Poll looks almost identical to last week’s poll. And now that we are approaching The Chase for the E.L.S.I.E., those teams that were On the Bubble got a much needed win last week. In all, The League!’s title is still anyone’s to claim. Will The E.L.S.I.E. be on your mantle this holiday season?

This weeks edition of The Thursday Morning Quarterback will of course feature all the usual suspects, as well as us taking a deeper look into The Chase for the E.L.S.I.E. So as always…, Let’s Get To It!!!

***E.L.S.I.E. University***

Class of 2013, don’t forget to start sending in your profile pics so I can begin building your teams profile pages. I have a few members pics already. Please send in your profile pics at enviousstaff@gmail.com. I will respond to let you know I have received your profile pic.

***The Chase for the E.L.S.I.E.***

As mentioned earlier, most of the top teams in The League! took a lost last week, meaning the playoff race for the Top 8 teams is still wide open! Maclin on Your Girl will square off against DemBoys (4-5, 1,024.26).

Interesting Notes from The League – Origins in Week 9

  • DemBoys, Pick 6’n, and the BUCKNASTY’S BOYS all won this week, even though none of them had a top-15 scoring QB.
  • Pick 6’n used pass-catchers to their advantage by starting the league’s top-scoring WR (Johnson with 42.90 points) and the top-scoring TE (Graham with 26.60) this week.
  • So far this season, teams have won only 40.0% of the time when starting the league’s top-scoring QB of the week (2-3 overall).

  • Unfortunately, Weapons of Mass Production fell short of their projected score for the fourth straight week.
  • I Got Sacks On Sacks On Sacks has now fallen short of their projected score for four weeks in a row.

This is the second-most a team has scored this season without getting the victory. Surprise Scorpians falls to 3-6 and the lose puts an end to their two-game win streak. The scoring output from Surprise Scorpians was a bit surprising given that they were only expected to score 100.66 points. Unfortunately, Eventual Champions scored 109.9% of their projected 150.04. T.Y. Hilton (121 Rec Yds, 3 TD) got 34.50 points and Zac Stacy (127 Rsh Yds, 51 Rec Yds, 2 TD) scored 29.80 points, exceeding their projections by 40.2% and 79.5%, respectively. The Pride of Detroit has now dropped three straight. Jimmy Graham led The Pride of Detroit with 26.60 points (116 Rec Yds, 2 TD) while Cameron Wake racked up 18.00 (3 Sack, 1 Fum, 5 Tack).
