Marques Colston of the New Orleans Saints

This week The League! saw two major shake ups…, one in the rankings, and one in team ownership! Tampasaab will now be owned and managed by “A New Sheriff In Town”, auditioning for next season. His primary goal is to climb Tampasaab out of the cellar, while playing spoiler to some of the top tier teams in The League! Question is…, can he make Tampasaab respectable? Only time will tell.

The other major shake up came in the Top 5 as #4 I Got Sacks On Sacks On Sacks (4-1) destroyed the former top ranked team, #1 Pick 6’n (4-1). Due largely on the performance of this week’s fantasy champ Marques Colston, who racked up 131 Rec Yds & 3 TD’s (31.10 pts). With other strong performances from Alex Smith (29.02), Jamaal Charles (16.10), LeSean McCoy (14.00) and LB-Von Miller (15.50), I Got Sacks On Sacks On Sacks easily handed the once unbeaten Pick 6’n their first defeat of the season. Brandon Marshall (21.40) and Matt Ryan (17.40) lead Pick 6’n in a losing effort.

In the other top five match up, the #5 St. Pete ConVICKS (4-1) pulled another upset as they found a way to top the always formidable #3 Weapons of Mass Production (3-2). The St. Pete ConVICKS’ Randall Cobb (25.60) and DB-Patrick Peterson (15.60) put up strong performances to hold off Weapons of Mass Production’s Arian Foster (22.80) and LB-Lance Briggs (15.00). The St. Pete ConVICKS have now won three straight.

Peyton’s Girl (2-3) got off of their losing streak, defeating the winless Tampasaab (0-5) in blow out fashion. Peyton’s Girl had three offensive players go over twenty points in Reggie Wayne (29.20), Victor Cruz (23.00) and Eli Manning (20.26). Tampasaab refused to set their team line up and have subsequently relinquished team ownership duties.

Despite DemBoys (2-3) leaving a strong performance from Aaron Rodgers (20.42) on the sidelines, they got a much needed win against the Tampa Giants (1-4). DemBoys’ Ahmad Bradshaw (27.90), Stevan Ridley (20.10) and Julio Jones (15.50) stole the show as the Tampa Giants’ David Wilson (15.80) couldn’t keep pace. The Tampa Giants also left a strong performance on the sidelines in Andrew Luck (24.88).

The Monstars (3-2) did just enough, despite leaving three strong performances on the bench in James Jones (17.60), Michael Crabtree (17.30) and Owen Daniels (13.90), to beat the BUCKNASTYS BOYS (2-3). Drew Brees (25.60), Trent Richardson (18.80), Demaryius Thomas (16.80), Frank Gore (16.60) and LB-London Fletcher (15.00) put up strong performances for The Monstars. As for the BUCKNASTYS BOYS, they also left a solid performance on the bench in Ryan Mathews (19.90). Jay Cutler (18.88), A.J. Green (14.50) and DB-Charles Tillman (13.00) lead the BUCKNASTYS BOYS in scoring.

#2 Maclin on Your Girl (4-1) won their fourth straight defeating the NC Bad Boys (1-4). Despite leaving Rashard Mendenhall (16.10) only to watch, Maclin on Your Girl’s Percy Harvin (23.60) and Josh Cribbs (21.30) did enough to fend off defeat. The NC Bad Boys’ Peyton Manning (22.70) was also left on the sidelines to watch.

Game to Watch:
Tampasaab (0-5) vs. Weapons of Mass Production (3-2)
Very rarely does a 0-5 team make it in the Game to Watch section, but this is for special reasons. With Tampasaab being under new ownership, many of us will wonder if they can pull off the upset and get their first win of the season. I’m sure Weapons of Mass Production, can’t wait to give them a rookie welcoming.

LEAGUE REMINDER: Keeper’s Deadline is this Monday, October 15th.
