Week 9 of The League! saw the top ranked team stumble and their 7 game winning streak come to an end as well as seeing the first back to back fantasy champ in The League! Week 9 produced the first back to back fantasy champ The League! has ever seen in hometown product Doug Martin. Martin, who had 251 Rush Yds & 4 TD’s; plus 21 Rec Yds (54.20 fantasy pts), lead #5 The Monstars (6-3) to the upset victory over top ranked #1 Maclin on Your Girl (7-2). Martin’s monster day not only handled Maclin on Your Girl’s two big performers in Carson Palmer (27.86) and Isaac Redman (21.10), but his performance also ended The League’s longest winning streak at 7 games.
The #3 St. Pete ConVICKS (7-2) edged out a narrow win against the upstart Clam Diggers (1-8). The St. Pete ConVICKS got huge performances from Randall Cobb (32.20), Matt Forte (21.80) and K-Matt Bryant (13.00) as the Clam Digger’s heavy hitting came from Adrian Peterson (31.30), LB-Michael Boley (18.50), Josh Freeman (17.08) and LB-Luke Kuechly (13.00).
In a low scoring, defensive affair, DemBoys (5-4) got back on the winning path as they took care of the NC Bad Boys (3-6). Despite DemBoy’s leaving a solid performance from DeSean Jackson (17.00) on the sidelines, Aaron Rodgers (28.02) and Julio Jones (13.70) did enough to pull out the win. The NC Bad Boys got solid performances from Vincent Jackson (14.40) and Calvin Johnson (12.90) all while leaving Peyton Manning’s (19.44) performance on the sidelines as well.
#4 Pick 6’n (7-2) has quietly started another winning streak as they won their third in a row, this week against Weapons of Mass Production (5-4). Pick 6’n Brandon Marshall (30.20), LB-Brian Urlacher (19.00) and Ray Rice (16.40) all had solid performances on their way to the win as Weapons of Mass Production had six players that reach double digit performances in the losing effort.
The BUCKNASTYS BOYS (3-6) got an impressive win defeating Peyton’s Girl (2-7) in blow out fashion. The BUCKNASTYS BOYS totaled seven players who topped 16 fantasy points all while leaving Chris Johnson’s (18.10) performance on the sidelines.
And lastly, in the Nail Biter of the Week, #2 I Got Sacks On Sacks On Sacks (7-2) got a close win against the always tough Tampa Giants (1-8). I Got Sacks On Sacks On Sacks got a surprising performance from Brandon Myers (18.90), as he helped them edge out the Tampa Giant’s Cam Newton (21.74), Michael Turner (16.20) and K-Robbie Gould (15.00).

Once again The League! has two top 5 match up’s with this one being the more intriguing match up. At one point this season, Maclin on Your Girl had the longest winning streak of any team which ended last weekend at 7 games. The St. Pete ConVICKS at one point had the second longest winning streak in The League! at 6 games, only to see that streak end two weekends ago.
